Does anyone else have this problem?

If you open LiveSearch 2.0 and try to use the slide out keyboard, when you type the applications acts as if you have the function key enabled?

For example, I live in Chicago and I want to search for a pizza place, however when I type in "pizza" where the <Business or Category> search box is I get )3''_.

I have checked that I do not have the blue dot function key on and when I enable the blue dot function key I still get )3''_ in lieu of pizza.

I've got the same problem... and hitting the function key doesn't help. So Live Search is unusable with this ROM.

I installed live search 2.0 on my 6700 and I was experiencing quite a few lockups and other strange behavior... I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it and the website is now downloading 1.0 again... they may have pulled it due to its bugginess... I cant imagine why else I would just be receiving the 1.0 version again so maybe some fixes are coming.

Correct. You can still use the on screen keyboard (SIP).

EDIT: Also, I tried emailing support found at Live Search for mobile and the email bounced back. Anyone else know the support email for LiveSearch?

I was going bananas trying to figure this out the other day! I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Weird, it works fine for me. Did you guys make sure your 1.0 was closed before updating? It will close it for you but maybe you guys have a bad install. I'd recommend Unistall, Soft Reset and then install again.

I downloaded the cab from the website and once I flashed the newest ROM I only installed version 2.

Not only did I uninstall & soft reset, I also manually deleted the preferences file in the programs directory that doesn't get removed during the uninstall process.

I don't think it's a problem with the "LiveSearch" service, because I'm having this same problem with the "On Demand" service. The slide-out keyboard always registers the blue Fn characters. Can someone that hasn't flashed to the new ROM try it out to see if they have the problem with LiveSearch 2.0?

It isn't a V2 or V1 thing... it did it with V1 after the ROM flash, so it is still doing it with V2. This has to be a bug in the ROM, but I have no idea why it is only showing up with some applications and not others. The only thing I've seen it in is LiveSearch.

Same problem here, and its also happened to me on SiriusWM5 as well.

On screen keyboard works fine though.

I've seen this in a few other applications as well. It's truely frustrating.

I was going to go into a Sprint store to swap my Mogul for a new one with the new ROM because of other issues I've been having hardware wise.

Can someone with a "retail" Mogul that already came with the new ROM, confirm if they also have this keyboard issue? That would be a total deal breaker and force me to keep my old defective unit just for the old ROM That would also then in turn cause me to go over the 30-day exchange policy and force me to use my insurance later on

Only LiveSearch for me. I'd get the new ROM. The benefits outweigh the problems, and I'm sure a hack will come out in a few days. It shouldn't be that tough.

Also happening with google maps. This sucks.

Im not worried, I am sure it will get fixed. I can still use the on screen keyboard.

WLS2.0, windows mobile 5 AKU 3.5 (ppcgeeks kitchen) rom on 6700 - keyboard works fine. So it's not specifically the Live Search app...

I just downloaded v2 tonight, and it works fine with the keyboard (and my old ROM),
