I installed the 6 tab and it works fine no vibrate mode that I've noticed although I've had it on since about 6 pm yesterday. I liked/disliked the colors so I only added some color leaving the home, contact, weather, etc (main tabs) black and white and the rest in color. My problem is that the left notification is for texts or has the text icon, the middle has v/m icon and last is missed calls. The missed calls go in okay, but txts go to the voicemail notification slot and voicemails are not noted in the HT today at all.... ANY solutions???

It is because you are not triggering the bug. You need to have Outlook on your PC and add or change an appointment to make it happen.
The far left number on the tabs is not for voicemail, it is for email. I thought the same thing at first. There is no way to put voicmail counts up there. It is ok though because you get voicemail notifications anyway through WM6
the voicemail icon (standard) at the top next to EV does not respond when pressed whereas normally on my 6700 it would give a notification at the bottom. I just have a v/m symbol at the top of the bar that does nothing except for annoy me w/ it's presence.
so only emails to left, texts in middle, missed calls right... cool. But why is the stinking voicemail icon at the top now idle. Is that a wm6 thing or did I foul it up somewhere. I click the v/m icon and it does nothing.

That is correct.
pressing the voicemail icon at the top will not dial in to your voicemails. you will need to click the notification in the lower left for that.
If you are saying that your voicemail icon at top is still there menacing you even after your check your voicemail there is a fix for that.
First call back into your voicemail and make sure you have listed to all of them. Then make SURE you stay on the call until the voicemail icon dissapears. This should take a max of 30 seconds.
If that doesnt work then you can clear the icon in the settings somewhere on the phone.
There is a reg entry you can change that was posted on XDA that explains how to change the default media player. I think it's in the thread with all the stuff we are talking about.
6 Tab issue: Clicking on the music icon (6th tab) opens WMP and not the Audio Manager, how can I fix this?
Its in my 1st post.

Change the "MusicPlayer" value to 1 for WMP or 2 for the HTC Audio Manager
Click the link on the music tab and then click the wording "Launch Music Player" which will launch the music manager you chose above. Play your song(s) and click "ok" which will take you back to the home screen and the music tab will then work. Basically the music tab accesses your music player that you have running in the background.
When a call comes in, it will pause the music. When you hang up it starts playing again.

There is a weather file located somewhere on xda that someone has made that just lists US Cities could you possibly post the link to that in the original post! I have the file but cant find the link.
Try zipping up the file and attaching it to your post.

doing the reg fix to change to audio manager does not work for me. i think its because i installed audio manager into the SD card rather than main memory. i get an error when i change the reg key. it tells me some certificate is missing or file is missing or some such. is there another reg key that i can edit to get this working?
Here is a fixed 6 Button cab with the Audio Manager reg and Celsius regs fixed. I am not sure about the error with Audio Manager. Since it will run from the Today screen with this app, you may want to suck it up and install in main memory. After all, you have 100+MB
Edit: Well, I tried to upload, but the file was too big or exceeded the size limit of 1000kb. So, I apologize for linking to another forum, but here is a link.

Then reading through the updated thread on XDA, he mentions things like the brightness shortcut in the launcher tab not working because of a missing .dll file. Well on my phone it works just fine?! Is this only because I installed the previous versions and it left the needed .dll on my phone?
I guess we are all waiting for another version of the customizable 6-tab with the default media player set for the HTC player and also the profiler to be correctly fixed, right?
The A La Cart version over at XDA is the latest to my knowledge (linked in my first post). However, I like the one below which was built off of it and I also added this info to the 1st post.
HTC Home Plugin Customizer - This is my favorite version so far. emunutz over at ppcgeeks improved on the A La Cart version by building a mortscript menu system around its settings. You can backup your settings, change to color icons, go back to default icons, change the tabs that display and their order and more. I would highly suggest you check it out.
