Is there a way that I can set the contacts/speed dial buttons to dial anything but their cell #?? (ie home, work, etc)

I have 9 people programmed in, and it will only call their cell #'s when I press their name.

If you press and hold on a contact you will be able to choose the other numbers associated with it (mobile, office, car, etc).

I've been trying out the plugin today, and have decided I really liked it. I haven't tried using the photo speed dial yet though, and just noticed this after reading your post. This may be the deal breaker for me. I have a few people I NEVER call on their mobiles unless it's an emergency. There's no way I've found to set the photo speed dial to call their home number instead. With some other programs I've seen it'll call their home if that's what you set as the default number in your contacts. That didn't seem to work for this plugin. I guess the other option is to create two contacts for that person, one for their home and one for their mobile.

anyone think there's a way we could get the moon to show actual phases? Like for example tonight there's a waxing crescent out I think it'd be so cool if I looked at the temp and instead of seeing a crescent moon on my screen... I know its prob not possible but man that'd be so hot..

I agree. It would not be very hard for them to have included the moon phases.

I am really liking this. The graphic for the weather is great and easy to read and it's really making the phone truly one touch for making calls and other functions.

I don't have my phone with me right now as I forgot it at home this morning, but I believe there are images for the sun and moon in the install directory. If that is the case, you should be able to use photoshop to create your own moon phases. Then you could write a mortscript to copy the appropriate image over based on the moon phase. If anyone is interested enough, they should give it a shot.

I only have a few contacts I call at home instead of their cell, so that would be a major pain, especially compared with the other photo dial programs I've used that do allow you to assign the number you want to call as the default. I'd much rather have uniformity of being able to just tap the photo and have it call that contact's default number, not having different methods of calling by photo for different contacts. I created different contacts for the people I call at home instead of their mobile, and it seems to be working for now.

i understand your concerns. its no "pain" for me as i just hold it down a couple more seconds and the additional numbes pops up. your way is also valid, re: making duped entries and only entering the number you wish to call..
i dont really have 9 favorite people i call.. more like 3 so with the treo photo dialer and this one i have many empty slots...

New 6 tab version released (music tab now). See 1st post for details. I haven't tried it yet, but am about to.

EDIT: You MUST have the Audio Manager as well for the music tab to function correctly. - RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting

Once you have both installed, click the link on the music tab and then click the wording "Launch Music Player" which will launch the HTC Audio Manager you installed previously. Play your song(s) and click "ok" which will take you back to the home screen and the music tab will then work.

Thanks for the update. Is there the same notification queue problem with the 6 tab version?

I haven't experienced the notification bug in this 6-tab version of the plugin. I had my ringer on and created a calendar event in Outlook 2007 which in turn went to my Exchange 2007 server. The calendar event reminded me 1 minute prior to the event as I asked it to, I dismissed it and the ringer stayed on. 1 minute later the event actually started and the ringer stayed on.

EDIT: I updated the 1st post with a screenshot of the 6th tab.

Very nice. The phone seems a little more responsive running the 6-tab version too.

Thanks for the update!

Will the TouchFlo work with this or just the HTC Touch plug?

There is a readme file about that contained in the .rar file if you download it. I didn't read all of it and deleted it since I'm not using that...

I haven't experienced it myself, but a user at XDA claims the notification bug is still present...be warned.

Should I uninstall the 5 button plugin in first before installing the 6 button?
