I got the 4GB SanDisk at a b&m VZW store this afternoon. It has the "Class 2" logo at the upper right and the adapters are as pictured here. it slid in easily and the back side ("Made in China" sticker) looks identical to the 512MB card that came in my Mogul.
Neat part is, the nice girl at the store rang it up at $74.99 so I got out of there for under $80 (nice suprise!). I started to ask "Is this on sale?" but caught myself, smiled, and wished her a happy Fourth-of-July. The receipt indeed shows a 4GB microSD so she did ring up the item correctly.
EDIT: She asked for my cell number and I told her I wasn't a Verizon customer and that the card was for a PDA. I also told her counterfeit cards which are failure-prone are a big problem and that I came to VZW to be sure I was getting an authentic SanDisk card.
Copied files over to card while typing this--everything went fine. I had to setup media sync again despite copying all files back from original card.

yeah they asked me for a mobile number also. i told them i was not a customer and the whole room just got quiet! lol i gave the house number as the guy said they just need a number for the warranty.. so no biggie... but i was like "uh oh...." lol
At Verizon, I just gave them my Sprint mobile number when they asked for it and they took it... why ask for trouble?
Back to the subject 4GB cards. I just received a reply from Sandisk, who I referred to this thread for pictures and research on the cards. Sandisk says the cards are NOT authentic that we received from Amazon and that they should be returned to the retailer. Perhaps Nextweb can make this easy on everyone and provide instructions here on how we all get a refund.
its an issue but not because of sandisk.. it has to do with google searches more so that anything else. also, there are other sites that have linked to this thread and changing the title may affect that.
even though they may be cosmetic changes to the outside, there may also be changes under the hood that could cause someone who has a non sandisk verified card trouble down the road. since sandisk has stated these cards are frauds, i highly recommend getting the refund and going elsewhere. these cards can and will fail at the worse possible time.

Absolutely. I've seen it happen, including to my card. I was answering the post refering to questions about physical differences.
Nextweb told me to send the card back and when they are done with their investigation they will issue me a replacement or a refund... wtf?
Take pictures, have SanDisk say they are fake, return them to the vendor with tracking and dispute the charge. I am sure your CC company, when presented with the evidence, will easily rule in your favor.
Probably, though there were reports that even those might be non-legit. You can buy direct from SanDisk, but not the 4GB card (yet.) I'm tempted to do that in the future, or else buy from Newegg, or a really reputable major online retailer. It's getting too difficult to weed out the non-legitimate products, I'm afraid.
I certainly would not order from the vendor at Amazon...
Also, to all the people that did get bogus cards, I would also contact Amazon about the trade practices this vendor is using. IMO, they should not be selling on Amazon or anywhere else for that matter. How many people that are not as tech savy as those on this board are being taken and not knowing it...
