Thanks Marc, that is DEFINITELY different from the one I received via Amazon. The C2 is not on mine. Not to be a pain, but could you also post a picture of the front side of the red/blue adapter? The logo on mine looks totally wrong.
I dont think many people are reading through the thread. And are posting the same thing over and over again.
1. this is bulk packaging, ie you save money.
2. Get a card reader that supports sd hc. "secure digital / high capacity". If it does not support hc then your card reader will not work.
3. The serial number on the micro sd card is a batch number, not an individule one.
4. Nextweb, and others have already contacted sandisk and confirmed that these are legit cards.
5. Different series of cards have different logo's on the front.
6. I forget what six is for.

However, this also differs from the card that was shipped with the device (it has a 'Play button' logo, but it is dropped below the Sandisk name and there is another logo just to the right of it).

I will say this, I went on Verizon's website and the card I purchased does not match the one from their website:
The funny thing is that the card that I bought from Verizon does not match the one shown on the verizon site, rather it matches the one on the SanDisk site...
So the cards bought from Verizon look like the second image with the C2, and the cards bought from Amazon look like the first image with the little triangle... interesting that Verizon's site has a picture of what we get from Amazon. Adds support to this being legit.

I think the image was to show the adapter... the 2GB card wasn't the subject of the picture. So the adapters look the same from both places. I think these are probably OK... just two different batches with slightly different marking.
the 4GB card is IN THE PHONE. i have to place the 2GB card somewhere so i have it in this case.... Convergent asked for a photo of the adapters NOT the card.. if you scroll up you will see the 4GB card in a few photos... C'mon man pay attention....
Well, i've still not gotten a response from Sandisk, BUT, I just tried to insert the card into my 6800 and it got stuck in there. No spring action at all, just stuck. I had a bear of a time getting it out, and I don't think it will be going back in. My other 2GB card pops in and out smooth as silk.

Do you suggest that we put the known good card side-by-side with the possible fake to confirm that it won't get stuck? Do you know aspect of the "fake" makes it get stuck? This would be good information for us to have.

From what I can see, it's too thick, and slightly too wide.

look on the bright side, you won't have to worry about losing this card like you had to worry about losing the mini SD in the 6700. mine comes out a little, and get better over time, it does not spring out as much as the 512 that came with the phone, but it came out enough that i can get my finger nails on it and pull it out.
i'm still seeing how this here play out.
I've received mine nextweb and so far its working fine. A pita that none of my card reader will read it, have to go out and buy a USB2.0 SDHC reader sometime(since the USB1.2 on the Mogul take forever and i hate loading files via Active Sync)
