Glad I could help. I purchased a fake one before and know what it is like to get one.

The plot thickens... I am now tempted to go to Verizon and buy one just to compare it to the one I got here. Exactly how did you you submit the photos... I tried to email them in and it got rejected because my email was too large.

OK, I just opened an incident at the Sandisk website, identified myself as the owner of this site, gave the url to this thread and the pictures I posted, and asked for an official response. Can someone please post actual images of what was purchased from Verizon Wireless. Folks have confirmed in this thread that they are the same as the Amazon purchased cards, but I'd like some actual images to back that up. SanDisk appears to have two large retailers selling fake cards... Amazon.com and Verizon Wireless... and they should be jumping all over this.

That's scary...I thought that the big vendors (i.e. Amazon and Verizon) would deal with the manufacturer. If it's true that they are fakes then who can you trust?

Well for the record, amazon didn't sell it. It was one of their "marketplace" sellers.

Also, I sent an email to them 4 days ago and another one an hour ago and they have not replied to either one. Their phone number goes directly to voice mail.

I'd post pictures of the Verizon card, but I can't get a clear picture of the card with the Mogul's camera (and I don't have another digital camera).

I will say this, I went on Verizon's website and the card I purchased does not match the one from their website:

Here's a link to the picture

http://cache.vzw.com/images_b2c/acce...sd_4gb_mem.jpg

Here's a link to the Verizon's store page
Enter your location

Here's a link to the microSDHC card on SanDisk's site:
SanDisk | Products | Memory Cards | microSD Cards

And a picture they have on their site:

The funny thing is that the card that I bought from Verizon does not match the one shown on the verizon site, rather it matches the one on the SanDisk site...

Well the links to images at the Verizon site and Sandisk both have the logo with the wrong font... which is still amazing to me. If you can't depend on a company sticking to their own logo, then what good is it. I have a ton of Sandisk cards and other products, being a photographer, and ALL have the same logo except the items in this 4GB microSD card package. I think I have about 20 1GB Sandisk Ultra II CF cards, and various other different sized cards.

To me, the biggest issue was the location (not the class itself) of the Class 2 logo. It should be in the upper-right-hand side, period. It is listed as such on the SanDisk website. On the cards we've purchased online, it does not appear there.

Guys, If you look a post #81 I posted a picture ( although not too clear, but I made comments on it )

I bought that card at Verizon store last Friday. I really wish I could get a better Picture of it.

It appears that most of the cards sold by NextWeb have worked. I believe Michael mentioned that there were two bad ones. The issue you are faced with if these cards are fakes is how long before the card fails. Hopefully you're backing up your PDA. I would be hesitant about keeping the backup file on the storage card. You may want to have a backup file also on your desktop. I know Sprite's backup allows you to save a file on the desktop as well as the storage card.

skyheli, your image corresponds to what SanDisk's website shows for that card. The Class 2 logo is in white, in the correct spot (to the right of the name) in the upper-right-hand corner. You're probably safe with your card being legit.

The cards we bought online have that logo in the bottom-left, printed in the same ink as the serial numbers. This doesn't seem right to me. Add that to the fact that it barely fit in my microSD slot (it took me quite a while to remove it the first time I put it in).
