Oh, yeah, wow, that was stupid of me. I guess it got past me because I used the search term "micro" to find it.

I ordered one off Nextweb today. For those who want a cheap SDHC compliant card reader (older SD card readers won't work), here's one for $5 with free shipping:

SDHC card reader Color Blue,Model C206A

SDHC Card Reader Color Brown, Model C206A

Question NextWeb vs NextWeb Sales?

I was just wondering if these companies are one in the same. If I get a defective card, what are my options for return? I would love to buy one, but don't want to get stuck with a non-working card. (Yes I did read the whole 15 pages of this forum),

Ok what the hell. I just got my card. No original packaging and came in an yellow envelop. I figured thats probably to cut down shipping cost. So I put it in my phone and there's a freakin folder in there called "Inbox.mst29866327.2953358208". It's an Outlook folder. Did I just got a USED card? Did anyone else receive their card like this??

I have purchased a lot of memory cards from different vendors and this is the first this ever happened to me.

EDIT: Ok I just checked my original card and the same folder exist in that one. Did the phone install the folder there after I inserted the card in?

Ok I deleted all the files that are in the card and put the card back into my phone and the file didnt show up so that tells me that the phone didn't put it there and I basically got a used card.

Actually, that file IS installed by your phone. It has to do with Messaging using it for external storage. You didn't get a used card. It's similar to what happens to any external volumes when crApple creates all the .trash and .desktop hidden file instances after you mount the volume to a mac.

Did you do the attachment tweak and/or email tweak to have outlook store your stuff on storage card instead?

also check the file's "modified date" if its the date you first plug in your card, that file is yours and not somebody else.

oh we all get the same packaging small card holder box with yellow envelope.

Unfortunately I deleted the file to see if it will get re-created but the file was never recreated. Oh well. I'll trust you guys and assume the card is new. Thanks for the input.

So, not to bring back old ghosts, but I did get my card back from Sandisk, (finally, had to make some calls to corporate) and the brand new, 4GB microSDHC that I got back from them DOES LOOK DIFFERENT. The Class 2 logo IS on the upper-right-hand corner, and printed in white. I know everyone who has posted to this forum has seemingly had their cards work, but I wonder why the printing differences?

OK, maybe I'm retarded, but the link doesn't work on th first page of the thread anymore, and I don't see the 4GB card being sold by nextweb on amazon anymore. Am I blind?

Well, the thread is pretty old, so I'm sure that the link might have changed.

I have used the Kingston and also the card that came with the phone. It's nothing wrong with the cards as both of them got stuck at least once or twice from my experiences. I would think it's the way the slot are made and that if you insert and push it too hard, it will get stuck. Spring loaded made product sometimes does that, push it too hard, push it too soft..may work right or may not work right. So lets just leave the cards out for this issue. Everyone has a different strength or sensitivity when inserting the cards.

I belive the guy from nextweb said that if it turned out that his products were not the real McCoy then he would investigate this with his vendor. Perhaps he decided to cut ties w/ them?

I have a huge problem that I'm only noticing now. I tried to add more stuff to my 4GB SD card yesterday and it said that my card does not have enough space! I checked my free space in Resco Explorer and its reporting about 1.7GB free.

Can you guys delete stuff off your card? Everytime I delete something on my Mogul, the files come back! I tried formatting the SDHC card in my Mogul but it never formats.

I put the card into my Dell laptop and hit format and it says unable to format too. Does anyone have this problem???

@Marctronixx

I got it from Nextweb.... =( I can see a serial number but its too small for me to read at this time. I'll take it into work under a microscope and report back in a couple hours.

I have never tried to max out my card before (figure it worked). I just happenned to go over the 2GB point yesterday and noticed that I can't add anymore stuff or delete any existing stuff or format either.

I'll try shooting him a PM and see whats up.

EDIT:

Okay I got a hold of Mike and he said he'll look at the card. Since I can't seem to delete my personal data on my card for whatever reason, I'm thinking of using the encrypt feature of WM6 which should in theory make it unreadable in other devices. Mike should be able to format the card still correct? Can anyone answer this question before attempt to do this?

you should be able to format the card yourself. or at the very least can you delete the info manually? worse case grab a card reader, format the card and return it... what?

Thats the thing... I CAN'T delete it even manually! I erase the files on my card via my File Explorer and they magically come back. I try the format option and it says "Format Complete" but the files are still there. I also tried deleting the files via activesync but again, the files come back.

I just got my serial number:

07093023400 and Mike said that its a confirmed authentic serial number if I read thru the posts in this thread.

I'm going to buy a card reader today and see if I can format it with that.
