I was reading a thread on PPCGeeks and they were talking about the Threaded SMS program on the 6800. The guy posting said that it works perfectly. He said it was simple to install too:
"Just install the PalmSMS CAB file and reset the device when it ask you too...let it boot back up and enjoy the treaded SMS"
The problem is that I cannot find the PalmSMS CAB file. Does anybody know where I can download it?
It does work perfectly. I'd post it here (not that hacked up version on the sprint board) but I don't want the site mods to get in trouble. Palm is relentless about having sites take it down.

I dont know.. but what I do know is the one i have is from the guys that actually ported it from the 750.. The print guys changed the file name and who knows what else..
I loaded the Threaded SMS on my 6800 but it doesn't appear to be any different than the factory installed sms app. In fact it's name in the program list is even the same and as a result it loaded in the program list as "messaging (1)" to distinguish it from the factory app called "messaging".
Did I do something wrong. I haven't received any text messages yet to see whether there is a difference between the two apps but I doubt it since the menu options are identical in both.
I'm running the one that letsgoflyers posted and it's working with no problems. Does anybody know the differences between that one and the one that was just posted?

What do you have working, regular SMS or MMS? Any time I attach media and try to send it errors out.
hmm, I though I read somewhere that some people were able to get the MMS to work with newer PPC PDA phones like the 8525 and such. Not sure where I read it but I think I remember them saying that you did not need to regedit anything just like the 6800 install.
