The mms cab works with my 6800!! We got Picturemail!!
I got mine at about 9:00 this morning. I ordered at about noon yesturday from an authorized sprint retailer next door to my office. Off the bat, HTC got a winner. Side by side comparison with the 6700 says so. There is no mms fuctionality out of the box, but the same cab file that you installed on your 6700 works for the 6800. I tried it and it works like a charm with no configuration...Im going to try a restore from my 6700 backup. This version of Sprite Backup is suppossed to be able to restore across devices, roms, and OS's...well see how this goes....
That's the link over at ppcgeeks in the 700wx forum. This should work on the 6800 since it was ripped from a Verizon 6700.

I also think the Palm messaging app now works with MMS & video mail. I tried it last night and I did not get the out of memory error. Instead, I received another error message but I think thats because the program is not configured properly in the MSS setting for the Palm messaging app. Maybe the gateway or something is missing..? Either way, I got alot further than I did when it was installed on the 700wx.
The Palm sms app does mms too? I did not know that. I have the mms cab installed on my 6700 now, and I am sure that I can send an mms. I received one once though, and it still came as a text with a web link to the picture. Is that how it is supposed to come still?
Well, I am not sure if it will work. If you go into settinging there will be an ad media display.. that is where it is. This never worked on the 700wx because of the aku or what ever. Now the 6800 has the updated one so I think it works. I'm not at home, so I will look into this more tonight.
The simple instal cab is the only thing I installed on the 6800 and immediatly the D-pad went bonkers. Started scrolling on it's own. It now doesn't work at all.
Removed MMS and now the D-Pad works beautifully. Has anyone else experienced this?
Since Sending Pictures and Videos have already been confirmed, can anyone confirm if you are able to view pictures or videos if you recieve them? Anyone with a 6700 ran into this problem when using any rom higher then 2.2.
alright guys, i seem to be having issues! I followed the instructions word for word from the ppcgeeks link and when I get to the mms configure bit about changing the server settings it wont let me add a new server. the add new server button is greyed out and wont work. I apologize in advance, im setting this up for wifey and know next to nothing about these phones. any ideas on what I may be doing wrong, this cab file and the regedit program are the only thing Ive put on the phone

I had my wife send me a Picture Mail and I got it just fine, exactly like I did with my Treo.

I downloaded the CAB from the ppcgeeks thread and didn't need to change the server settings. It was already set for Sprint. Was that not the case for you?
So basically, Sprint gives us this fatpipe for data on a Pocket PC, but doesnt want us (God forbid) sending PICTURE texts. Uhh.. wouldnt sending a picture attached to an email to eg. 8605550123@messaging.sprint.com be the equivalent? Plus it wouldnt cost $0.05 per message?
