there is no release date in the show

interesting stuff though - I went into the properties of the ppt file, it was from "Worktank" those are the folks that came up with the missionpossible site right?

the ppt show was created March 28, edited 404 times, and had 6730 minutes of time put into it. Thats a lot of effort for 8 slides.

well it said EVDO/Rev A upgradable so I'm guessing that they are not waiting until october? That was the reason why the october date came around. Perhaps they think WM6 is enough of a seller for people to upgrade.

who the heck is doing their marketing??

"Only CDMA handset w/ wi-Fi cpability (besides the PPC-6700)" that's just a dumb statment....

"Largetst touch screen w/ the largest sliding qwerty keyboard..." um yeah I liked the touch screen of the 6600 more do to it having a LARGER screen than this... Oh and it had a sliding qwerty keyboard too.... another dumb statment...

as far as I am aware this is the stuff that the techs in the store learn from.
At least that is the audience that it was meant for.

That's some sweet info, thanks for contributing it. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't crapping myself already to get ahold of this thing.

It doesn't have A-GPS, does it?

Yes it does have a-gps as far as I know. It should have a real GPS chip too but i'm sure sprint and VZW will screw us there.

Keep in mind... this is obsolete already as other carriers have phones that flat out spank the 6800... If this phone came out 6-9 months ago then it could stand up w/ it head held high. But when it comes out now it will have nothing to brag about.

It took too long to come out.

I hear ya.

It still beats T-Mobile's offerings though.

As far as the marketing and specs, if you read it as information for Sprint employees it is true for all of Sprint's offerings. I believe that that is what they are saying. It is the only Sprint phone with wifi and a slide-out keyboard. This is more of educational material than marketing material.

Not even close. There are TONS of way better phones that you can buy unlocked and use on T-Mobile. Heck, HTC (the maker of this obsolete 6800) is announcing some new device on June 5 that is supposed to be an iPhone killer. I'm sure you'll be able to use it on T-Mobile...

I meant the "Wing", T-Mobile's version of the phone. The lack of 3G for T-Mobile (and the ridiculous price for data on Verizon) will keep with Sprint for the forseable future.
