Isn't this just the Tytn/8525? Maybe a little thinner?
It doesn't support HSDPA (which T-Mobile hasn't deployed anyway)...
If one were jumping to GSM, I'm not seeing why (other than having WM6 out of the box) this would be more attactive than the 8525 on AT&T's vastly superior network?
Go AT&T if your going GSM and get an unlocked phone from overseas if you really want the latest and greatest. If thye had 3g here I'd have already dumped Sprint.

THEY DO HAVE 3G here. that is what cingular runs off
what links do people have with phones i can get over seasees? very intrested in doing this.i renewed my contract wit sprint but with the 6800 waiting game i am backing out
Using a Q in the meantime (it was given to me) and not really missing the 6700 much (I agreed to sell it when I thought the 6800 would arrive on the 14th and kept my word to the buyer). The Q is a great go-between.

I like www.importgsm.com - the prices are right on with anywhere else online and their selection is pretty good.
And I've ranted on this in a few other places but if you're in a 3G enabled area - SWITCH - the 8525 is as good as the 6800 and the speed is vastly superior to evdo...
I connect in Boston at 700-900kbps and last weekend in NYC I connected between 900-1050kbps

Yeah, but the price is nowhere even near competitive. You're looking at, what, $39.99/mo + $19.99/mo for voice and data access on AT&T? If they look at your usage and figure out you're not using a "smartphone", you're up to $44.99 just for the data, which has you paying either $60/mo + taxes, or $85/mo + taxes depending on your data plan.
I pay Sprint $30/mo for 500 minutes, unlimited EV-DO, and unlimited SMS. GSM phones are absolutely crazy-cool, but at half or less than half the cost per month, I can't justify AT&T. I'm using a Q as a stopgap phone for now, and I'll be picking up the 6800 as soon as Sprint launches it.
Even if price was a non-issue, I live in Colorado where AT&T's 3G is not available and Sprint's EV-DO along with Rev. A are rarin' to go. HSDPA might be quicker than 1xEV-DO, but Revision A is on par with or exceeds HSDPA (although you might argue that it's not much of an issue at this level, since the connection is already faster than the phone can handle).
