If you take your stylus and click on the speaker icon at the top of the Today screen, the volume bubble appears. You can set the ringer as well as the earpiece volumes to whatever you like.
You can also do this using the scroll wheel on the side...but beware, as if you are using the scroll wheel for another application while on a phone call, it will adjust the volume regardless of the open application...
TSK files (themes) can be read in the Today settings from the storage card as long as they are not placed within a folder below "\Storage Card" (wink to Pibe38 for that one)!
This also works for WAV files used as Notification sounds...
One of the most basic, but best shortcuts I can think of right now is in the Buttons section in START-SETTINGS-PERSONAL (tab)-BUTTONS
In here... I have Java set to the Button 1, making both browsers on the top of screen. Button 5 (Press and hold) has Skyfire, and Button 5 (press) has Messaging. That way, you'll have the basic apps used right at your finger tips. Of course, edit for your own apps as needed.
Applications
There are many freeware and shareware applications out there, and these seem to be the most useful for me, of course, not everyone is the same.
Google Maps
Card Export
ClearTemp
EZInput
ICSControl
TCPMP
Opera Mini
Skyfire (AMAZING BROWSER)
Live Search
Wireless Modem
HTC Homescreen
PHM Registry Editor
Registry Tweaks

Enable AGPS on the XV6800. To use TomTom, LiveSearch, Google Maps.
To enable the AGPS on your XV6800 install this file that will unrestrict the lock placed on the GPS by certain carriers (Cough...verizon) Thanks goes out GC14 over at XDA-Developers for creating this cab.
Next go into your System Settings for "EXTERNAL GPS" and on the Programs tab change "GPS Program Port" to Com4, on the Hardware Tab change COM Port to "NONE" and Baud Rate to "4800". On the Access Tab ensure "Manage GPS" IS checked.
NEXT
Install Franson GPSGate that will allow you to split the GPS into different programs. If you only want to use LiveSearch and/or Google Maps You Dont Need This. If you want to use TomTom 6, 7 or IGuidance you will need to install GPSGate. A free trial can be downloaded at
After installing GPSGate go into the setup and choose Input as "WM GPS", then go to Output and choose "(Virtual Com2 / (ALL NMEA)"
Now go to your Location settings and turn it to "Location ON"
Once all that is setup you can open TomTom and set it to Com2, it may take a few seconds. When using a program like TomTom you won't see how many satellites or the strength of the signal because the GPS Coordinates are being relayed not the actual Satellite information, but it works just as good there was not delay for me.

I can use Google Maps and my GPS in my Sprint Mogul, without needing to do all this. i just start up a application called VISUALGPSCE to prime my GPS (need to see the satellites anyway) and my applications start working.
Two things to note - first; GPSGate shouldn't be necessary with WM6 - the OS does it for you. Secondly, the Sprint 6800 is GPS-unlocked, you can use whatever you like with it (which is how I found out about the first item).
I've had multiple GPS programs open on my Sprint 6800 since just about the day I got it, without using GPSGate

Alarms that wake up the phone
*edit* This seems to work fine for some, not at all for others */edit*
The trick is to set your backlight timeout to longer than device timeout. I.E.:
Settings > Backlight > External Power: 5 min
Settings > Power > Advanced > On external power: 1 min
Now when plugged in, the device will turn off before the screen dims. When your alarm goes off in the morning, it wakes the phone up. Not sure why this works, or why there is a wake-up bug in the first place, but it worked like a charm for me. You can also use this trick on battery power.
Picsel Browser "Memory Full" error
Picsel seems to have a limited amount of storage space for use in history. Once you have used it a while, you will get this error right before a page loads. To remove it, goto:
\Program Files\Picsel\Browser\History
and remove all files there. Clearing history from inside of Picsel does not seem to work all the time, however this seems to.
Didn't work on my XV6800 running WM 6.0. Alarm didn't go off, and I was very late to a breakfast meeting!
