I can live with some small changes on the device... Honestly... can the two devices really be that different?
Dude...it's fun for about 5 minutes...until you can't a signal when it's actually time to use the phone portion of your cell-phone.

I'm ALL for you having the best time of your life....I just hate seeing people grinding their teeth as their calls drop indoors (No. I use my cell as my house phone). Anyhoooo...just lookin out for you. If you're gonna jump ship, then try the new HTC @ Compusa.

Side note: In the end we can't blame VZW for not coming out with the phones. We either move to a country where GSM actually works....or patiently wait while CDMA takes over--and more, cooler phones will be available.

Side side note (P.P.S.) At this point you may as well jump ship to Sprint. IMHO they CURRENTLY have the best phone in the USA (Mogul). EDIT: Do what that other dude did: Get a SERO plan...stick with it...never have to deal with Sprint's "dumber than sand in a toilet filled with crap" customer service. Which, of course, is almost impossible if you get a new phone never 2 months like we all do.

My $.02.

1. leaving Verizon CAN be expensive, but it doesn't have to be. Since i was on a faimly share plan, I dropped my plan to $10 a month fee. My contract ends in april so totally i will pay $90. The other solution is to pay $175 for the cancellation fee. The ONlY setback of this method is that i lose my current number, but to me, my number wasn't worth $85.

2. The mogul costs $288.99 in the SERO plan, and after taxes it's $302.43. Paying retail for the TITAN could be over $600, so that was unbelievable.

3. The plan i got was great. 1250 minutes, UNlIMITED TEXT/DATA, nights and weekends at 7, and insurance for $50. To compare that to VZW, $50 just for data, and it;s not unlimited, and texts are $15 more for unlimited. HMMM, sounds great. (They also have the same plan only 500 minutes for $30)

4. Finally, even though I lose my #, my main concern was people not knowing my new number. Well, since i'm saving money by keeping the phone, I have voicemail for verizon, so i can just tell of my number change. AND i have 2 lines now, even though i have no intention of using the verizon line.

Overall, by just switching to sprint, i'm saving tons of money initially, and if you compare the fact that id have to spend $50 more a month for the same kinds of services im getting with sprint for $30, IM AlSO saving money in the long run as well. My mogul will be here tomorrow thanks to overnight delivery (FREE) provided by sprint. I'm very excited and am so glad i'm out of verizon. (well, not technically) I was a 7 year customer, now tell me, is it worth it for verizon to lose customers like me because they just won't give me information AND have ridiculous data plan rates??
I was looking at the plans and it doesn't look like unlimited text is included. It says unlimited data/web access and then unlimited text messages is an option under services for $10 (which still isn't a bad deal). Are you sure unlimited text is included?

My contract expires August 4. I'm waiting for the XV6800.

Having worked at Stinkular... ummm... Cingular... Umm... AT&T Wireless's headquarters... I will simply say I'll buy tin cans and a string before I use them.

Forward your number from Verizon to the Sprint number and let everyone know that you have a new number and to make note of it for the future. That way you dont have to keep checking your messages on your VZ phone, and all will come to your Sprint phone.

BTW.. I have seen and played with the new 6800 for a carrier other than Sprint.. It is totally awsome..

He was talking specifically about Google News searches, not Google Web searches.

OK, OK, sorry if this is a dumb question... but this is EXACTLY what I am looking to do when the phone hits stores. What is the SERO plan and what do I have to do to get onto it?? What plan did you get for such a great deal?! The ones I was looking at only gave me 400 minutes and all that data stuff for $60!! Thanks in advance for the help!!!

Search SERO.

You don't need to wait for the stores to get it, you can get it when you setup your SERO account.

Can you sign up for a SERO plan if you're already under a plan/contract? Or, can you just switch it over?

All.... Is there any new info on the xv6800 VZW device? My ATT 8525 gets in on Tuesday and I am really close to jumping ship... I called VZW and they just said, we're sorry to loose you as a customer. My bill is about $115 a month for 2 years now... I know its nothing to a huge Telecom like them, but that's how corporations start loosing business.

Any word on the new device is appreciated...

Thanx much...
