finally got it ordered online, when i tried to upgrade online it would allow me to order the phone, but wouldn't give me the discount. I called in before i submitted the order, no one could order for me, so the lady said that she would just credit my account for $175, 150 for the rebate, and 25 for the trouble!!!! Checked my account balance and i now have a credit and my phone is still available for upgrade. Problems are great.

I tried that angle was well but was shut down. I wanted to order it online and asked if they would just issue a credit for the rebate amount and they said no. I'll try again in a few.

I am in the same boat.. I been transfered all over the place.. last one was saying that phone is not in thier system yet.
This is where I stand: From what he can tell after talking to Telesales no one has it in their system to order, it can only be done online. He processed the return kit orders for wife and me (we're both returning our Treos for Moguls). He notated on the accounts what was going to happen and he believes by tomorrow or Wednesday the Moguls will be in his order system. He'll call me and place the orders. He believes the credit for returning the Treos may be $579, not the $279 each we paid. If that happens, that's awesome, but we weren't trying for that much. If it's just $279, he'll apply $150 credits to our accounts to make up for paying retail for the Moguls. I got the guy's info, and I'm hoping he'll actually do what he promised unlike other reps I've spoken to, since he's in Executive Services and not regular Customer Care.
The only way it will let me order online is if I pay full retail. It won't let me apply my $150 for another two year contract. I tried calling them and the first person bumped me back into the que. The second person said it wouldn't let her order it with the credit either and to call back.
Also, I tried calling a couple of Sprint stores. They say they do not have it and that they probably won't get it for a couple of weeks. One of the guys is making a phone call or two and said he would call be back with some info. We will see.
Yeah I just spent 3 hours on the phone being transferred between Telesales, Web Order Support, Customer Service, Government Sales, and who knows what else... They all told me my account was eligible for an upgrade, but when trying to use the "Upgrade/Replace" option on the website, it says I'm not eligible. Had an agent spent about 20 minutes with me on hold trying to order it for me on the website, and she couldn't find any way around it either. Funny that she said they don't have a tech support for the website. So no wonder there are bugs ALL OVER THE PLACE on there... they don't take customer feedback about it. Sigh.
I considered doing this as well (since I have three lines with different upgrade eligibility dates) but it seemed like it may be too much of a hassle.
I'm not sure what the hassle would be. The phones are shipped un-activated... so I will just activate it on the line I want it on when I receive it. It is no more, or less work, whether I order it for one line or the other.
I have tried all my systems to order the phone. And there is NO inventory for the PPC 6800 anywhere. I even tried to order it for a Corporate Customer I have, and it still wouldn't come up. I printed out new Pricing Grids this morning and the 6800 is on the grids. So I don't know what is going on. I will keep trying through out the day, and I will have to look on Brightpoint as well.

Well I got sick of getting the runaround from all the agents and departments, all saying they want to help, but ultimately having no clue how. I finally just ordered the phone as a second line on my account. I've been meaning to change my number for a while anyway. I'll just adjust the plan on the other line, and let it expire with the contract.
Well I have now actually managed to get two of them on order... one online direct with no rebate, overnight shipping... the other over the phone with a rebate, but would be shipped later. I figure I'll cancel one as soon as one shows signs of life. I didn't trust the telephone order after reading some of the reports on here, so figured online was safer. We'll see what happens. I may end up with a return if they both ship at the same time.
Just spent 45 ninutes on the phone with telesales. (From what I've read here I lucked out that it was so short!)
I first tried telesales this morning, but it was not in the system. So, I drove to my local store so I was there when they opened and they had no stock and the guy looked at all stores in the ocuntry and showed me that there was no stock for the retail stores at all. He did say taht he had played with one and that it was AWESOME! He suggested trying Best Buy or Radio Shack since they sometimes sign exclusive deals that get them phones earlier, but no luck.
I called the telesales people back and got one on order! So, I'm psyched. Just wating for the online system to update with a tracking number.
BTW, Has anyone here managed to get their hands on one today? Just wondering if some "slipped out" and if so how they like the device.
I ordered online last night just after midnight. Sprint order confirmation called this morning to confirm the order. They made me tell them the model number, which I wouldn't know if I hadn't researched the snot out of this phone...very weird. Anyway the guy said it was on order but he couldn't give me a ship date.
Brightpoint has the 6800 available. I ordered one, should have by Wednesday. $599.99 minus an instant $100 off. So $499 for the unit. I just have to see it to believe it!
Can anyone at VZW check if a Vision ID was ever created for this model, it would be on the handset matrix. You can do alot of digging on the website if you have that number.
I was able to order via retentions this afternoon. The rep still couldn't find any stock but said they may show up in within a day or so. He told me to order online and he would just issue a $150 credit to my account. Can't wait.
