My Data Solutions guy confirmed the realese for the 6800 it will launch 6/18....DIRECT. NO Retail. Everyone else 7/15. I am curious about the employee plan though. Don't know if it will be available for us. Some one can find that out!!

Ok, heard back from my rep! That was WAY quick.....he said this:

"I checked today and it was already in our ordering system and would let me order it. I am running into an issue with changing over your account because for your SERO rateplan. I do not think it is available in our new billing system but I am still checking."

So thats 2 positive yes answers for MONDAY, JUNE 18th, 2007.

Even though I find it BS that sprint will not release the 6800, I kinda believe in sprintgirl9700's information. Sprint is gonna have ALOT of pissed customers if it doesn't release monday...

Is there any specific number I can call to see if I could try and get a 6800 in 6/18 even though I don't have any business account?

I just called Enterprise Telesales (I have a SERO account with corp discount) and asked if the 6800 was in their system and if it could be ordered now. The rep I spoke to said she couldn't see it and couldn't put in an order. But she said that the current phone selection rolls over on 6/18 so it makes sense devices would be released then. She put a note on my account that I asked about it, but couldn't put in an order.

I called corporate sales today after finding out from my wife that she gets an 18% discount on bills and accesories from sprint, imagine how happy i was since ive had sprint since 97 and she tells me this today!!! Any way ,they told me i can get the 6800 but i just have to call back next week, this was also on the premise that i use my wifes corp account and not my personal one.

Late breaking news. The Mogul (6800) is being delayed because of issues between activation and shipping. No sales will be make until the issue is corrected. It has been stated that it will only be a short delay. This a delay past the 6/18 release.

WRONG...The phone WILL launch DIRECT 6/18.. the phone WILL NOT launch INDIRECT..that is who is getting the delay.. You received your information from an INDIRECT store source who recieved the info today that thier ppc 6800's are being delayed.

First, I did not say the devices are activated. I said the issue is between activation and shipping, to be specific software. To put it simply there appears to be an issue (listed above) that is preventing the devices from leaving the warehouse/shipping. The source is from a National Sales Update to be sent out tomorrow June 15.

The woman i was talking with first said she did not know about the phone but said she would ask her supervisor. She put the phone down and i heard her boss say and i quote "just tell him its on schedule, we will make the announcement next week about the delay".

She got back on the phone and i questioned her about this. She played dumb and then hung up on me.

I waited 6 months and then waited 15min on the phone to hear that.

dammmmmmmmmmmmm.

I guess we will all find out tomorrow or Monday.....the wait continues.....

I'll update if I hear anything from my rep.

So will all accounts be able to get it or just business at first?

Here is the response from a friend who manages a consumer channel retail store when I asked about the June 18th launch date:

"Hey Matt,

That is the corporate launch date. They will begin distribution from the main warehouse that day and the store locations do not usually get the new equipment till weeks later. I will let you know as soon as I get them in."

My rep sent me this....maybe they can fix the issue before Monday....maybe. Don't know if its for direct / indirect....he was just sending it along. Maybe sprintgirl can comment?
