Since Verizon still hasnt released the 6800... I think its best to wait until next year when hopefully the next generation VGA screens become mainstream (640x480 resolution)
Don't hold your breath--I'm sure it will be a bit of a wait for Verizon to release something any better than the 6800. Any PC phone is not going to pass "testing" in a timely manner, because it needs a lot of crippling to undo the stock features of WM so that VZ can sell them back to us. We should be getting a VGA phone about 6 months to a year after everyone else has one.
Where is this Circuit City located? Maybe I should call around to my local Verizon Stores to see if any of them have one yet.
Has anyone else seen an xv6800 in a Verizon store yet?
Those are dummy models . They don't work , it is just the outside shell of the
phone,no guts inside. It's a display model so they can show you what
they look like (size,weight ,colors,etc.). All the stores should have them now.
The store can't show the real phones untill they are released.

LoL, be happy you saw the i760. In Southern Oregon they're still saying "Oh we should be getting the i760 in a few days". And "Verizon doesn't have a XV6800".

I have been following this thread and others for more months than I care to admit and went into one of our local cell stores (not strictly verizon) and they said it will be out mid November. And with Mobile Windows 6. He showed me a pic from a verizon magazine but didn't have a demo yet. Hopefully it lives up to my expectations. I currently have a 3 year old HP PDA that is getting more cranky by the day and a regular cell. Looking forward to one new device to replace both....
Well as of 7:00 am EST there is no listing of the 6800 on the VZW site. I hope verizonguy is correct about the hard release date, I was looking forward to having a phone I could use without a headset as the mic and speaker are not working on my 6700.

He (verizonguy) said this morning that he can't get any info on the soft
releae date but as of now the hard date is firm.(Ha-Ha).

How many of you have are going to the Sprint Touch? I've been waiting for this phone forever and have decided after 10 years of being a Verizon customer that I'm switching to Sprint for the Touch.
Seems like the Touch is getting some pretty good reviews from the users that have them. So...was just wondering if you guys are getting pretty close to giving up on the 6800?

I just canceled my phone contract and am free to get a new phone. I was thinking of getting the Mogul (which I did get about 2 weeks ago but they screwed up and couldn't activate it so I played with it for 2 weeks and sent it back).
