Yeah, save the pictures, I've seen it, it has a qwerty (with no arrow keys by the way) -- where are the other buttons? Dpad, phone buttons etc, remember those? They are useful sometimes.

Have you seen the pics? Doesn't look like WM6 to me. Unless they are running their own gui over the top of it.

I didn't say it wasn't missing a few useful ones, just that it certainly wasn't one button... it seems more like a smartphone than a PDAPhone to me, but then the touchscreen might bridge the gap there.

Since Verizon still hasnt released the 6800... I think its best to wait until next year when hopefully the next generation VGA screens become mainstream (640x480 resolution)
Hey , get a life. I was not arguing with anyone or taking sides with
anyone, I just posted the screen size. What an ego !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go buy a phone already.
Ego? You posted screen dimensions for the 6800 and 6700, and that guy was talking about the screen on the 6800 in comparison to the 6600.
I love when people with 5 posts mouth off. Maybe if you actually posted something relevant to his original comment, I wouldn't be typing this right now.
As for buying a phone, I'd love to, but the 6800 still isn't out yet. I dialed 611 this morning by the way, and the rep said she could find the 6800 in InfoManager. There were no pics, release dates, or pricing, but she said all the specs and information was showing up.

Calm down. I was just adding that " most" of the HTC pdas have a 2.8"
screen now. Of course that could change.
I saw your post on the other site this morning before I went to to VzW store.
I got pretty much the same story about INFOMANAGER and the CSR was
smiling and made the remark that I might want to surf the net Friday and
Monday. They couldn't give you a straight answer if their life depended
on it. We'll see.
Just for all you eager fanboys out there, I can give you some apparently non-secret information:
"Hello,
I don't have a corporate price on the vx6800 yet. I should have pricing on that device by the middle of November. I will include an order form, pleas fill to and email back to me when you want to add this line on to your account.
Thanks
"
Just in case it would get someone in trouble, I'm leaving off the account rep's name.

Wanting a decent PDA phone to be released by VZ doesn't make me a fan boy. I'm stuck with VZ and I'm not willing to pay for something I don't think is decent. The 6800 and 5800 should be decent, by no means state of the art anymore, LoL!

He might have been told to say that just like the CSrs have been told to say that.
I am sure that the price has already been set and they can notify the sales
rep in a moments notice when they get ready to sell BtoB/online.
What next Verizon ?

nope, the i760 thread was the most hi-jacked thread.
Hi...I couldn't wait any longer for the XV6800....my XV6600 literally died...so I went with the i760 as it was available. I had some initial getting used to it issues, but now I have them figured out....the phone itself is so much better than the XV6600....the phone rings much louder than the XV6600, the voice sound is clearer on both ends and is loud on the send end, the speakerphone does not echo on the recipient's end as with the XV6600, and your face does not accidentally disconnect you when you press it against your face, as the phone buttons are on the side (it took a bit to get used to this, but now it is preferred). The screen is the similar if not the same size as the XV6800 (I did see the XV6800 at the Verizon store), Overall, I am happy and plan on keeping the phone. I plan to order a sync cable that will charge the phone as the one included does not (not sure why), and a case (not included). Oh, there are two batteries included, one regular and one extended, and so far I have only used the extended battery and it makes it through the whole day without any issues, much different than the extended I used with the XV6600 which made it for half a day. The only downside so far is that WMDC 6.1 is not compatible totally with Windows Mobile 6, but I think that this is going to be the same with the XV6800. I hope this info is helpful. Randy
Hey rhlitt, You said you saw an xv6800 in the Verizon store? Where is this store. All of the stores that I have been in are just now admitting that the phone actually exists. Was it a display model?
Thanks for the info on the i-760..... decisions, decisions....
