How do you fix the clock setting? my TIME keeps getting pushed back2 hours!!

Greetings!

My father has an HTC Mogul/ppc 8700 and everything seems to work fine except the time clock on it.

I am in the central time zone and even if I set the time to that setting and set the correct time and ok out, before the end of the day, the clock will retain the appropriate minutes setting, but the HOUR will be either set back 2 hours or ahead 2 hours!! I've looked through settings everywhere and can't find anything to select or modify to prevent this. I've even set the timezone to Korea and Egypt just to troubleshoot and it STILL retains the minutes but changes the hours to whatever it pleases, usually 2 hour incriments up or down.

I don't know if the Sprint server keeps sending the device new time (and the Sprint time should be correct btw) or if this phone has an internal battery that is dieing or something! Very annoying, if anyone can help, thanks in advance.

Sincerely,
Roberto

settings/personal/phone/services/time synchronization.

from there you can check or uncheck to sync with mobile network.

verify if its checked or not.. if its checked, uncheck it and see what happens... or vice versa...

how long have you seen this happen? has it happened since day one of the phone? how long have you been in this time zone? did you install any programs that may take over clock functions or did you delete anything prior to this happening?

Thanks for the tips. I'll check those settings and verify the presence of any programs altering the hour settings of the phone. Its a non stop daily problem. Since day 1 (Bought refurbished from ebay after my first one got crushed).

I'll give an update tomorrow.

Cheers

Check your time zone... The cell network may be setting the correct time, but it won't set the time zone. That is configured on the device.
