texting - weird problems, please help

I have noticed a few things while tecting that are a little wired. I have the standard rom windows 6.1 with Sprint.

While texting I noticed the sometimes the text is slow to appear on the screen while typing but it remembers everything I type and it eventually all shows up.

Also sometimes the part of the screen where I type is so small or falls off the bottom of the screen.

Is anyone else having this problem? Thank you!

The slow appearance of text seems to be connected with the auto suggest feature. I used to type out whole sentences before it would actually appear on the screen. It stopped doing that entirely when I turned off auto suggest.

I don't quite understand what you mean with the 2nd part of your post.

s10blazed is right about the auto suggest feature. Turn that off if you haven't already. Even with it off, I'll notice there's sometimes a pretty significant delay from when I slide the keyboard out and start typing to when the text actually starts to display.

Secondly, I have the bottom part of my text input area get cut in half regularly. The only way I've found to fix it is to close the Messaging app (completely close, using task manager) and then restart it. If it still doesn't work, keep trying. Eventually, the text box returns to normal.

The second problem that you are having is because when you have it in portrait mode and then select the threaded message to reply to and then immediately switch to landscape while it is still "thinking" you will have only half the input area displayed. Yes the only way to fix it is to go all the way out of messaging and then start over. I do it all the time because I am so impatient, I don't like to wait until the screen pops up in portrait to open my keyboard. If you open the keyboard before selecting the message it works just fine too.......Try it and you'll see....Hope this helps.

The problem I notice most often is at any time during the day, if I do a soft reset on my phone, it will send out text messages to random people. They're copies of messages I've already sent, ranging from being sent earlier that day to being sent over three days ago. There's nothing in my outbox/drafts folder. There's actually nothing at all to indicate that I've sent these messages again other than when people who I haven't talked with in a couple days message me and say, "What?" Replying to a random duplicate text that I originally sent them before. I can confirm that this happens with two other people who have the same phone as me, one of which I know has the same ROM.

Version: 3.56.651.0
Radio: 3.42.02

Just thought I'd see if anybody else had similar issues.
