Incoming call is only sound working

With no changes made by me, the 6800 will only speak up when there's an incoming call, or upon answering the call, the speakerphone mode will work. Otherwise, no other sounds emit from the phone: not WMP, no sliding sounds, no alarms/notifications, podcast player...nada. Settings>Sounds & Notifications>attempt to preview event sound...nothing. I've power-cycled to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks.

did you uninstall/install any programs prior to this? did you drop the phone get it wet?

worse case.. hard reset... meaning you lose everything you installed and it reverts back to factory.

was this phone a refurb? did you buy it new form verizon? fleabay? craigslist? if its second hand, did the seller mention any issues with the phone?

No prior issues...

Been using SPB+ for a while with no complications. This is a recent factory replacement via my employer...not a rehab. Ran a trial of Mem Maid for a couple weeks which I used quite effectively to clean up the phone and greatly improve performance. Was working fine for several weeks since the last time I did anything using Mem Maid, then one day I went to play my usual podcasts and poof---no sound.

memaid could be a possible. if you are not careful, memmaid can delete things... spb+ has been known to cause issues also.

if its a recent factory replacement it is a refurbished phone.

id just double check your settings, switch between vibrate and audible... uninstall spb and see if that helps..

worse case... hard reset....

I'd try what Marctronixx mentioned also but I did have an old 6700 do the same thing to me and it had to be replaced under warranty. A hard reset did not fix it...
