What the heck happened!

Hello all!

I have been quite puzzled over the situation with the "reminder" alarm on my calendar ceasing to function. I have several critical appointments daily that I have come to rely on my phone to alert me of. Recently this stopped and I can't understand why. I sync the phone to outlook which pulls from my "master calendar" in iCal, and I have confirmed that all 3 calendars are correctly scheduled and that there are, in fact, alarms set as needed. But the thing is silent. No noise, no vibe, no Notification on the screen. Nothing.

What could I be missing? Any ideas how else to trouble shoot this ?

Using File Explorer, go to the 'windows' directory. Look for Calnot.exe and run it. then look for Clocknot.exe and run it. (nothing will visibly happen)
I don't exectly understand their function, but these programs set times to run themselves. Which causes them to set times to run themselves. And on and on. They have to run to get alarms. If they ever miss one of the self-setting alarms or don't run right, they don't schedule themselves to run again, and you don't have any more alarms.

I'm almost afraid of the implications of this statement, but neither of these are available from the Windows directory. I'm still not as proficient with this OS as I'd like to be, but I've done some searching and don't seem to be able to locate them.

You may need to use a better explorer that will show hidden files. They are hidden system files that probably don't show in the built in explorer.

Must people use Total Commander.
Total Commander - PocketPC

I use Resco Explorer.
