do i have to have a data plan with verizon to have the gps work with external apps? i have iguidance 4, gps gate, gps server, etc...the little icon turns yellow, so that's a start, but i cannot pull a location like i can on a sprint PPC-6800 without a data plan, or in fact any plan at all. on a few PPC-6800's i have they work perfectly fine, no servive at all with sprint..any help?

What rom do you have?

yeah, get a custom or cooked rom. how? I dunno, I bought my 6800 on ebay with a custom rom, tomtom works great on it (as long as i jump start the gps with googlemaps.)
