My whole issue was no contract. So now I got a new phone and no contract, so if the Palm pre becomes gods gift to sprint I'll still have my new contract credit which I'll gladly use for good capable phone that I know will last me awhile.
Ah, I see. I had to do the Assurion thing and they are sending me the Touch Pro.
Are you get new in original box when you get from assurion because i call yesterday and they told me they only going to send me phone and charger other accessory is not included also you may get new phone or refurbishment.
My son's Mogul had the green phone button stop working. Took it to Sprint and they ordered a new phone. We got a Mogul. After a few hours of setting it up again, the last thing I tested was the wireless.... It did not work. Back to Sprint. Ordered another phone. Got another Mogul, this one came with Windows 6.0 on it.... I asked about a Touch Pro. They said that some folks got them back in January when they were out of Moguls. It seems as though they have Moguls again.... The guy claimed that if he would have had a Touch Pro in the store he would have given it to me after the second Mogul failed.... Kind of hard to believe a Sprint store would not have a Touch Pro in stock. I guess the lesson of the story is, do not count on getting a Touch Pro this way.... It may and has worked, but there is no guarantee.
I just used Asurion's online form and they are sending a 6850 in replacement of my 6800. By the way, my deductible was still $50.
Coolbeans. What coast/city are you in and what coast/city/call center did you get in touch with? I find the west coast is WAY better, more lenient, and willing to help and serve than the east coast.
I had to call Verizon yesterday because my POS 6800 totally locked up on me and would not boot past the Verizon splash screen. The only thing I could do with it is to soft-reset and watch it get stuck on the splash screen or remove the battery to turn it off. Verizon is sending me my 3rd 6800 (refurb of course) since August of 2008 so obviously they have them back in stock.
The stupid thing is that I'm vacation and they are sending the replacement to myhouse so it's not even like I can go into the store and pick up another one because the stores don't carry the 6800 either new or refurbs so I won't have phone service until Wed since it ships today. .
Just really tired of Verizon's lousy phones not work like they're supposed to and if it wasn't for the network I'd have left a long time ago.
****EDIT*** Just got my replacement device today and the damn thing has a bright white spot on the screen with two other faded ones also just above and to the right. I called Verizon immediately and they are now sending me my 4th 6800. I asked about swapping out to something else and they told me no. I'm either going to pay the EFT (90.00) or wait until my contract expires in Dec and get another phone/carrier.
I call sprint today because my 6800 not receiving call they offer me 6800 i ask for pro so guy say system not allow me to upgrade to pro so they sending me another mogul. then he said if new one give you same issue then call back and ask for different model you may get pro.
