I have been having the same problem and have contacted Agile and this is what they said
Hi
There was recent change in Yahoo Messenger which is why you are experiencing log in problems.
Our team of engineers are working round the clock to fix this problem.
Once that is done you can expect an update sent to your phone which we expect should fix this problem.
As this is unforeseen - we apologize for any inconvenience caused and assure you that we are scrambling ALL resources to get you back up chatting on Agile Messenger.
I too have not been able to download the update either. I keep getting the message that its available and i click yes and it just hangs nothing is downloaded.
I have however submitted another trouble ticket to their tech support team and hopefully they will get it fixed.
I open a tix with support and tell them I cannot do update and it just hang there. All I got was that mass email and they close my ticket! Paid almost $60 and this is the support I get.
I notice the version went from 74 to 76. Maybe you just uninstall the old one and install the new one and try. Open another tix to have your serial number transfered?
I dont have much friends in Yahoo, so I am not too worried about it for now.
which has its own IM client that's sort of like trillian, with email connected to it..Maybe that might account for the interruption in service possibly?
You should now be able to download the new version via your agile messenger interface. I just finished downloading it and it updated just fine and all is working. if you are unable to download the file from agile messenger you can download it from their site.
Agile messenger tech support response from this morning:
third ticket into Agile. I don't even see an option to update so I just downloaded the newest version. Same problem-diagnostics for connections all pass. Verified username/password thru my home PC numerous times. I can connect to MSN but my contacts are all on Yahoo so that does me no good.
I've been without mobile messenging (that doesn't screw me over on charges like Cingular's built in app) for a month now. i've asked Agile to not close tickets until resolution is reached but they still close tickets without solving the problem. I was told first there was a problem and they were working at it-and closed my ticket. A week later, I send in another ticket, asking them to resolve before closing. They tell me an update wll be pushed in 7-10 days and close the ticket anyways. 14 business days later, no update. I uninstall and re download the application, still fails.
Agile needs to fix this or tell me they can't do it so I quit subscribing and paying for a product that no longer has value. After a month of runaround, I'm about to give up on mobile messenging completely. The Cingular Yahoo app, even though it uses the data line, *still* charges as a text message for each message sent and received, which is total BS since I have an unlimited data package. But if Agile can't properly support their product, I'll have to find a replacement or remove mobile messenging from my daily operations.
*bump* anybody having problems with this these days? I haven't been able to connect since...ohhh...Thursday? Friday?
or am I the only one still using Agile and everyone else has moved onto something better/cheaper and I missed the boat because I found a stable config and stopped messing with my phone?

Today Agile have sent me a link to the version 88 fix with installation steps etc, however upon testing this the graphics were extremly small and the yahoo connection problem was still there, so back to Agile again.
For those who want to try the fix out here is the details given to me by Agile.
Hi
We have prepared a fix PPC/Smartphones for the Yahoo problem. Can you try these versions and tell me if they work for you? Please remember to fully uninstall the previous version before installing this version.
Due to the huge number of people I am sending this to, Kindly restrict feedback to Yahoo connectivity. Kindly tell us the following:
(1) Which version was used - .EXE or .CAB
(2) If you have a Touchscreen or non-touchscreen Phone
(3) If the new update was successful in logging into Yahoo Messenger
