Ugh! Help me please

All right.

I'm going to get straight to the point with this.

I pretty much did a reset to return everything back to factory settings.

It worked (seemingly) until when it says "Tap the screen to set up your Windows Mobile Based device." it doesn't let me actually TAP it. I tapped it like 500000 times and nothing has happened . I can still RECEIVE calls, and the caller ID works so apparrently it didn't reset itself. I have SPB pocket plus 4.0 and I turned it off and on like 5 times to try to get it into safe mode and how coincidental, nothing.

Anyway if some one could help me some how let me know. Thanks

When you reset your device, did you get the prompt where it asks you if you would like to restore to factory default settings (or something like that)? If not, then you did not reset it to factory settings. In order to do that, you need to perform a "hard reset". The procedure is listed in your manual or you can search the forum for those terms.

The ability to receive calls and the caller ID will always work even if you have reset the device to factory settings so nothing wrong there. SPB Pocket+ safe mode will kick in on the next bootup if you soft reset the device with the stylus while the Windows Mobile splash screen is displayed during bootup. Of course, if you successfully reset the device to factory settings, SPB Pocket+ will no longer be installled and thus why you can't get into safe mode. On the other hand, if SPB Pocket+ is installed on your device, then you were unsuccessful in reseting your device to the factory defaults, as that process would have removed all installed 3rd party programs.

Finally, please try and title your thread to something more appropriate next time. Non-descript titles such as yours provide no useful information about the problem and thus often get looked over by others resulting in little to no helpful replies to your issue.

Did you have this issue before you did a hard reset? It maybe possible that there is dirt or something stuck in the corner between the bezel and the touch screen. Your touch screen will seem to be not working as it thinks that the corner where the dirt or debris is being tapped already. Try running a piece of paper between the bezel and the screen all the way around to free or clear up any debris that is stuck there. Then reset the device.

No. Like ....

Ok it was SUPPOSED to go back to factory settings. But when I tapped the screen, nothing was happening. The other thing is when some one calls me yes, there's caller ID but it still says the contact name.

The stuff is ALL STILL ON IT. It's tellin me to just tap the screen and when I do nothing happens. I'm just kinda frustrated

I looked at the files from a computer - all are there still. I don't get it.

It touch screen IS NOT working just on this screen. When i tap it, when its dimmed, it will light up, which is really whats confusing me!

And I'm confused as to why safe mode didn't kick on. But it probably did, but it's still trying to configure! SO CONFUSED

So the touch screens working just not on this screen.

I don't get it. Please help me

The ability to rest the phone to factory settings is not dependent on the touch screen working. If you wish to perform a hard reset (which is what is needed to restore the phone to factory settings), simply search for "hard reset" in the forum or use the manual that came with your phone which describes the easy process. If you perform the procedure correctly, the phone will ask you if you want to restore to factory defaults and you push a hardware button to confirm (hence the touchscreen is not needed in this scenario).

As far as the touch screen not working, see aznmode's post above.

If you still want to reset to factory settings, do a hard reset. Hold down the two buttons that have dots on them while holding the stylus in the reset hole until the screen asks you to press a key on the keyboard to reset. Then follow the screen instructions.
