Verizon XV6800 and Windows Live messenger?

Has anyone been able to find and install Windows live messenger on their Verizon XV6800? I have tried installing various Windows live messenger .cab files onto my phone with no success.

If anyone has been able to do so I would greatly appreciate a link and or info on how to find/install Windows live. As of now the only way I can access my Hotmail or use messenger is through Pocket Internet explorer, which is just ridiculous and frustrating

I have been wondering about this topic as well. I am about to buy a Verizon xv6800 and was curious, does it come with any chat programs already installed on it? Be it free or something you have to purchase can you install AOL, MSN and Yahoo IM? Lastly is there a GOOD and stable chat program you can use that will handle ALL 3 of these types in one interface like say Trillian does on a regular computer?

THANKS!!

well I have tried a few versions of windows live with messenger and it seems that with the new 6.1 rom Verizon has done something to prevent messenger from functioning. has anyone with the new rom and verizon gotten windows live with messenger to work?

there are other messaging programs out that will give you msn, aol, icq and yahoo all under one roof so to speak. one or two of them are free. search the forum here if you are interested in that route...

Hey Marctronixx that would be great to get one of those free messenger programs. Any specific ones you recommend? I remember using agile messenger years ago but it seems the new version isn't free.
