I recently got a PPC-6800 Mogul. So far, the only real annoyance is with getting to my Storage Card files from Office Mobile applications. From any Office Mobile app (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), I'm unable to open files on my Storage Card. I can go to the card in File Explorer and select the file to open it. But, in Office Mobile, I can't see the Storage Card at all. I've tried two different cards, and had the same result.
I did a search for this issue, but didn't find anything. Anyone else had this problem? It's a real pita, as I'm not used to having to go to the file explorer to get to the files that I use all day long. Thanks!
When I go into an app (e.g. Word) I get a list of what looks like all of my folders. These folders include folders from main memory as well as my storage card. From here I can then choose "more folders..." which just displays the next ten or so folders, or I can choose "all folders..." which seems to display all the files that are compatible with Office 2007 reguardless of which folder they are located in.
The UI definitely has a lot to be desired.
Note: In looking at my list of folders a second time I think that only the top level folders are being displayed. No sub-folders are being displayed.

I only see what's in Main Memory. I cannot see the Storage Card at all from within any Office app. Other apps, and the File Explorer, have no problem with it at all. In my previous PPC devices, it worked as you said, where all the compatible files would be listed. Not on this one. The only difference I can see is that it's WM6.
I believe you need to create a 'My Documents' folder on the SD card and put them in the folder.
There is also some connection with creating a file called "ignore_my_documents". It isn't real clear when that is needed. Do a forum search and I'm sure you'll find out more.
Actually, all of the Mobile Office applications do display Office files on the storage card, as long as a "My Documents" folder exists on it and there is no "ignore_my_docs" file on the card. So when you select "My Documents" in the drop-down, it is actually displaying the combined contents of both the device's main memory "My Documents" folder & the storage card's "My documents" folder. If you want newly created Office files saved to your storage card, be sure to set the "Save To Location" in the Office app's "options" menu to "Storage Card". When you choose "Save As" on the File menu, you are still only given the choice of the default folders names (Personal, Business, etc) to save to. You won't be able to choose a sub-directory of your storage card's My documents folder. So for example, if your "save to" location is Storage Card, and you select the "Personal" folder, the folder "Personal" will be created in the root directory of your Storage Card and the Office file can be found in that folder.
This is the way all apps opened and saved files when the Pocket PC operating system first came out, and Microsoft never bothered to join the bandwagon that every other app developer now uses. In fact, my suspicion is that the current Office Mobile suite found on WM 5.x & 6.x devices is still the original Office mobile found on early PPC devices.
