Hello:
I have just updated my Sprint Mogul to the 2.17 ROM.
Most everything is working & it does seem stable.
One small problem.......
The Today / Setting page there are 4 themes listed.....
Guava Bubbles
Sprint Default
Windows Default
Windows Mobile Green

Whichever one I choose they all appear to be a plain blue / green theme without any logo or photos in the background.

The PDA works & it is really no big deal but I find it odd?
Any suggestions

grab someother themes easy to find, and there are other roms out there that are a lil better

What roms do you think are better than 2.17????? This is the only rom that I know of that has finally fixed all the major issues w/ no side effects as of yet.

He must mean custom ROM's built from 2.17

I did "grab" some other themes & have discovered that the Mogul is "locked" on the Windows Mobile Theme.
It does not change the usefulness of the phone / PDA but how do I unlock it?

When in doubt, soft reset. If that still doesn't work, backup all of your info and then hard reset.

I can't install a custom theme also. Has anybody installed a custom theme on the 2.17 rom?

My themes all work wonderfully...not sure what the problem is here.

If not too much trouble, I would hard reset and start from sratch. Before your install anything, I would try copying a theme over to your device and then changing to it...

Just make sure you backup everything as a hard reset will delete all personal data...

If you're using the HTC task manager, be sure to use the OK hard key, otherwise the program will be terminated and your changes may not take effect.

well I just did a hard reset. Still can't load themes. Dont know what gives.
