WM6 text messaging question.

Installed the WM6 rom and so far I have had no problems. One odd thing though, on WM5 when I would type txt messages, it would count down the amount of characters I had left, on WM6, it doesn't. Is there a way to turn that on?

NoJive,
That was Helmi's initial WM6 test rom, and character counting was absent (i.e. bug). It was fixed in the ppcgeeks kitchen released 2 wks ago. tmb

So you can get and use WM6 on a 6700? That's good news as I'm not happy at all with the proposed price of the 6800. Been waiting it out, it may just be too out of reach if the 6700 is still available at my local outlets. Thx VZW, way to go

Do you have a link to this? I'm gonna fish around the site but it seems so hard to navigate to me for some reason.

hmm i might need a little direction with this one, when i installed WM6 in the first place it was just an installer and walked me through the process, i think this is getting a little over my head here. Is this a program to build my own ROM based off the original platform? Where is the actualy new upgrade located?

Ok so i think i might have figured it out, not to bad, but i'm kinda scared to go through with it. Mainly for losing all the cool games that i got with the first install.... lol like sodoku and crosswords, dopewars, tetris, rubik, and yatzee kinda sad i know but i use them, especially sodoku. Can you confirm these won't be there?

jmyler,
I see you've got some reading to do. It'd be bad form to hijack this text messaging thread to talk about the WM6 kitchen, so check out the WM6 threads here and on ppcgeeks - maybe better to start here since the tone is a little more elementary. (BTW - all your games are included, though if they're not freeware you will need to register.)
