Hello, I have searched for an answer to this question on the site and have not found it, so here it goes:
I have MemMaid, and when I look at the Storage Usage section and go into the "Storage Card" folder, then open "Temporary Internet Files" folder (16.38 KB), then open "Content.IE5" folder (16.32KB), there are 4 folders there.
1. 01ELAT0J: 66 Bytes
2. TGNXSOQX: 66 Bytes
3. X07LM9YV: 66 Bytes
4. 8SH0HGG9: 66 Bytes
And then there is a branch to open 2 File(s): 16.6 KB, which when I click on 'explore' it brings me to "File Explorer", and then shows the 4 folders and a file 'index' theat is a 16.0 KB file, which when I click on gives me the message: "There is no application associated with "index". Run the application first, then open this file from within the application".
I remember a few weeks ago I used MemMaid to switch the IE Cache folder from Main Memory to Storage Card in the "Memory Tweaks" area, but then switched it back and these files mysteriously appeared on my storage card. I have tried to get rid of them with MemMaid but it will not remove them off the storage card.
My question is, can I delete these files off the storage card without harming anything, and if so, how do I do it. I am assuming I cannot delete the whole "Temporary Internet Files" folder off the storage card, or can I?
Obviously the problem occured when I switched the IE Cache memory from Main Memory to Storage Card, but can i delete those files?
Thanks
Any help greatly appreciated.
tk,
I might be wrong, but once I satisfied myself that IE was actually caching to internal memory and not the card - that is, see the cache file internally - then I'd have no problem deleting this crap from the card. It's the normal detritus of this kind of tweak. Please post back your experience. tmb

store the Pocket Internet Explorer data on your Mini-SD card instead of the internal storage.
It currently results in a PocketIE error where it crashes and closes immediately after loading a page. Clearing the data using the options in PocketIE solves the problem temporarily.
Let me get this straight TMB_XV6700:
So if I have been able to get on the IE using the IE Cache Folder in Main Memory then I should be able to delete the stuff on the Memory Card, right?
If I go into MemMaid and into Memory Tweaks, I have under 'IE Cache Folder" the 'Main Mem. (Default)' in the drop down box.
I have since been able to successfully go on the internet.
Meaning I am OK to go ahead and delete the files listed on the Storage Card?
All those files got there when I switced the memory tweak to store the IE Cache Folder on the sotrage card, but I don't care where it is stored, I just want to delete the files on the storage card.

Yup. Use Total Commander to delete the folder(s) on the card, and never worry about them again. Your IE cache is safely in your windows\profiles folder where Weedahoe said it was.

You can do the reg edits like this and then follow the link
Using MemMaid 2.0 to remove IE cache/cookies/history
weedahoe,
Nice movie - looks like you just posted it and I was the first viewer - woohoo!
Of course there was no sound so I had to kind of guestimate what you were doing on that Eric Cartman screen.
The quick clean approach seemed cool if you want to toggle between two caches and keep them both clean. Of course tk was just looking for total annihilation.
