Question Help with new look and feel - Windows mobile 6

Hello,
first of all, I want to thank all of you for the abundance of knowledge on this forum. I am an XV6700 user for about a year now. Initially I was not as savvy as I am getting on it now. I have a question for you guys:

My friend also has a XV6700 and his screen has a different look like the one on Wwindows Mobile 6 and has a big clock and appication launcher and all extra stuff. He bought it like that and i checked the version number of his OS and it says windows mobile 5.0 so I guess there is a plug in or a completely different theme that allows him to do so. He also has a CD which has a lot of programs and this new theme is one of them. I am trying to load it but I don't know how to.

Can anybody help me make my phone look cool. I have a 2GB SD Card attached, so I can transfer the application on it..

I guess what I am looking for is a OS or ROM updater for dummies kind of help from you.. Also if there are any other cool programs that you want to share, please do...

Thank you

The problem is that there's so much out there and obviously beauty is in the eye.... For the digital clock do a search for the HTC Home plugin (of just HTC plugin to find optional items) and you'll find that plus the other things he may have. There's also an HTC plugin for an analog clock which isn't quite as poplular. Also, search Tiermann for a dialer modification program. I think that much of these HTC plugins work on WM5 also. What you cant find here go to PPCGeeks.com in the Apache forum.

hello and welcome. this is too broad of a question and what you may think is great, one person may not. i suggest you look at the FAQs up top and search for "today screen" images. there are some who have customized their screens that you may like.
