lol no im very hard to offend

ok guys I just found out some info that might be useful. I had a nice chat with a supervisor at Asurion and I asked her about the possibility of being charged the full price. She said that can only happen if you dont return your damaged phone. she said that when the phone is returned to them that they dont dont even try to power it on. they simply write down the serial and write it off to sprint as a loss. she said no trouble shootng is done whatsover. they just verify no water damage i think. hope this helps clear things up.

It's good to hear that. The problem is that we never really know what these companies actually do vs. what they put in writing in those huge agreements they make us sign.

My PPC-6700 has been annoying me for a while now and I was thinking of taking it into a sprint store to get it looked at (I have insurance on it and that's all it takes to get your phone looked at right?).

I was wondering if I was in the store and they found that something was in fact wrong with this phone and they replaced it, what are the likely scenarios of replacement? The OP of this thread got the Mogul - was it new or refurbished? Did you get it same day in the store or mailed to you?

What are the thoughts on the Mogul? If I got lucky and Sprint gave me a better replacement, I might be up for selling it on ebay to get something better - like the Touch maybe?

My fiance's 6700 had a cracked screen but sprint gave her a 6800 because it took 45 seconds of it saying "Dailing..." before a call was made.

sprint also gave me a Mogul / PPC-6800 when I took in my broken ppc-6700 last Friday. I really wanted the HTC Touch but they wouldn't let me have that - they said that it had to be this. So I'm just going to ebay this. I'm going to list it as new and explain that it pretty much is since I haven't even touched it since Sprint handed it to me. They didn't make me pay the $50 deductible so that was kind of cool (unless tey're just going to bill me for it later). They didn't let me keep the box for the Mogul though.
