6700 Windows Media Player question

hello,
Im sorry if this is an over answered question but I searched and didnt come up with anything. anyway, my question is why is it that some videos that I have transfered from my PC play on the PC via WMP but wont play on my 6700 on WMP? Is there some settings or updates i need to change/perform? Thanks!

TCPMP is the way, not WMP for videos...

that's why we have other options playing videos. been using Pocket PC devices for many years, and I've learned that Windows Mobile Player is not a good default player for video, for music - yes, video - no.

in your case you'll want to download and install TCPMP, link is below:

TCPMP (Pocket PC) - Download

then if you want to play WMV files, you'll need to place two dll files on your mobile to view them, otherwise it's choppy and audio doesn't work. you need to place two wmvdecoder.dll and wmadecoder.dll on your device. should be in \windows directory, to give to TCPMP the capability to play also WMV and WMA files. you may run into issues - can't recall why, but give it a try.

I've attached the two zipped files here for you to work with.

good luck,

James
