Picture Messages

Why won't my Verizon xv6700 let me receive any picture messages? i can send them and get text messages with out a problem. I would really to get messages from my friends though. Is there something that i need to select in the phone settings or just call and yell at verizon until they fix it?

Is your data blocked? Picture messaging on WM phones uses EVDO data sessions and requires a data plan (at least pay-as-you-go). If you routinely use wifi and never use the verizon data connection, then check start/settings/connections/connections/advanced/select networks - should be verizon wireless. I don't know much more than that since it's always worked for me.

Brian,
Rather than go down this road, I'm going to suggest that you use the search function to search on "verizon picture mail" and related terms. There are many many threads that have discussed it, and by your answers here, it appears that you have not familiarized yourself with them (or with anything else related to your phone.) Good luck solving your problem. If you are unsuccessful on your own, you can always take it into a Verizon store - they will try their best to get the picture mail working for you since it's a moneymaker for them.
