Need Help!, ActiveSync Not Connecting

I need help in repairing my ActiveSync connection between my PPC-6700 and my PC.

Connection has been losts since adding USB WModem (CDMA) for using my phone as a modem to my Laptop.

1.) ActiveSync not connecting = Not seeing Device
2.) No partnership seen on my phone in ActiveSync mode.

I have two different laptops! I added USB WModem (CDMA) to both! May have lost the partnership or something to do with the same USB connection between "ActiveSync" and "WModem".

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Sircas

Ok, lets see what you do have. On the PPC in theapplication of Active Sync, in Connections is it chked to us USB? What about connection settings on AS on the computer? Have you checked for XP firewall to make sure it is allowed and not blocked. I know the firewall likely isnt the issue being you have had this working in the past but check it anyway just to cover everything. Have you tried to un/reinstall Active Sync on the PC? When you connect the PPC to the PC, it is seen in Device Manager at all?

In "Get Connected", it saying "your device was not detected". You can hit next and it Pings through the Com ports & then the USB connection.

Still, "your device was not detected"! with certain Coms & the USB available!

Firewall: For ActiveSync appls. = all unchecked. Still, "your device was not detected"! with certain Coms & the USB available

That is "normal" to an extent. Ive had mine do that with the phone connected and even the phone having a solid orange LED lit. That AS troubleshooter is truely worthless. With the phone connected do you get an orange LED at all? Does it come on and then go off or stay on all at? If you go to your Device Manager do you see where the device is installed? If so, right click on it and uninstall and then reboot and let XP reinstall the device.

Tried this! Did not work after uninstalling. It just keeps trying to connect (wheel keeps spinning) without connecting.

Most appreciated tho!
