Is there a way for the gps tracking in GM to auto update the current position automatically? Currently I have to keep checking 'track position' in order for it to readjust. Thanks!
Yes, I have a bluetooth reciever that works fine and it does show my current location but when I move, it does not update on GM. I have to re-select the GPS TRACKING option in order for it to update my new location on GM. Is this normal or is something broke on my GM?
I get spotty tracking too - sometimes it works for long periods, and then all of a sudden it stops tracking. Like SWEETDUDE said, re-select and it tracks again...
As long as you have 'Track Location' Checked in Google Maps, it will track your location. I think what you want to do is have your current location in the center of the screen.
To do this, just type '0' (zero). There is a yellow note on the screen that says so. This happens when you move the map to a different location.

It's stupid. Live search and every other GPS device on the planet keeps your location centered in the map and pans the map. It may be a bug in the WM6 version of Google maps as Live Search works perfectly minus updating the map images consistently. Sometimes it just forgets to load the map image and you get a trace with you location indicator but nothing else.
sounds like a personal problem bud... checking track location pans, centers, Downloads new map info aok on wm5... there appears to be quite a few problems with wm6 so more than likely that's the culprit
I think that is just the way the program is written. It will track and constantly re-center on your location unless you manually move the map around. Then it figures you want to look at something else, so doesn't re-center on your current location. Like WhiteBlazer01 said, hitting "0" (Zero) will start the tracking again. Or you can re-enable it in the menu like you've been doing.
