I turn on my wifi and it picks up a connection or hot spot next door
it says connected. Ok heres the question how do I veiw internet from there.
Where it says my network card connects to work I changed that to say internet. Signal is halfway across just dont know how to view the internet.

I hope your kidding or maybe Im just missing something... . Once you are connected you should just open your browser such as Internet Explorer and go from there. Or are you having other issues?

Yeah, just open a brower (internet explorer) and start surfing. If you hit a not-free "hotspot" you'll get their "payment" screen. If you hit an open channel wi-fi... you should just be able to start surfing like normal.

make sure you are actually connected to a UNSECURED connection rather than just seeing that there is a connection... if its secured you will need the key.. if its unsecured you should connect right up.

My Work Network (i.e. not the cellular network).
I've always had to toggle this setting going back and forth between wifi or usb connections on one side and evdo connections on the other.
