there are several threads here on hot to take apart the device. As for insurance, you can still add it with your carrier I know I did with mine. However, why may I ask do you want to disconnect the vibe assembly or motor? There are software apps that will over-ride the phones settings and do just sound or just vibe, ECT.

It starts vibrating when reset/turned on /hard reset...every time and doesn't stop until i remove the battery. I think its a hardware issue but would love a hack to kill it. Verizon wouldn't insure the phone. Thanks for the help

Well thats wierd because VZW did insure mine. But I do certainly see where you are coming from with wanting to disable the vibe function. Like I said before though, there are several threads with tutorials on how to take apart.

Try here

i agree with you in that your issues are not software related but hardware related. we get a lot of users who come here and have major issues with fleabay purchased phones. without knowing the history of your device, its difficult to pinpoint the issue.

can you return the phone back to the seller? what does the seller say about the phone vibrating? did the seller claim it was in perfect working order?

I "won" it 31 days ago. I all ready paid shipping to get it the screen placed now this. The seller offered a 30 day warranty. The seller stated the phone was mint. This sucks. I really love the phone or at least the 7 or 8 days it worked.

well seller is clearly lying. im sure the seller got it from someone else who in turn probably got it from someone else... vicious cycle....

so if your only recourse is to try and fix it im sure you can easily go in and disconnect the motor... if the phone works otherwise then its a small price to pay...
