There use to be a thread about if Sprint would give customers who had insurance a 6700 for a broken 6800. I went in tonight, and the guy told me he ordered me a 6700 but it could take 2-6 weeks. So we will see if they call me back and tell me they can not find any 6700s, or if they call and tell me it is in.
Randomly go to other sprint stores, and ask if they have 6700's in stock. If you find one, go to the guy who is giving you a replacemnt and say "found one..."

I went to the Sprint store Tuesday and they ordered me another 6700. I was told I would have the new one in 4-5 days. I really don't know if I would want a 6800 after all the good things you can get for the 6700. I hope they get it right.
in the past 6 months sprint has replaced 2 phones for me. The 1st time i went to the repair location with my 4 month old 6700 due to an audio problem that they looked at for about 30 seconds before deciding not to fix it. The rep cam out with a brand new 700wx and was typing away as if i was gonna just take the lesser treo as a swap. I spoke up and he said that no one had the 6700 anymore "its being phased out" is an exact quote. so i took i the treo. 6 months later i learn the hard way just how not water resistant the treo is.
part 2
this time i call the insurance line and speak to a very nervous sounding rep who does sound like english is his only language... he is more than eager to help and after me pleading my case he informs me that yes i can get a 6700 brand new (instead of a refurb 700wx)- for my broken treo, and it will arrive in 2-3 days for and extra 15 bucks. so $65 later and 2 days i get my beloved 6700 again! if u call the insurance line be ready to pay $50 bucks off the bat. at the repair location i wasnt charged or they snuck it on my bill. In the future i will call insurace line, they seem to have much better array of phone to choose from and IMO a can do attitude.
So why would a person who bought a 6800 want a 6700 instead? Am I missing something?
I just went into the shop to get two of my 6700 replaced (stupid d-pads are broken!) One has been replaced 3 time the other one this would be the first.
They told me it would be 3-4 days and it has been over a week and no call. I checked on sprint and notice that as of this week they are no longer selling the 6700?
I can't imagine them not having enough 6700. I thought back in March of this year they got gobs of them in stock and had lots of refurbished ones. Anyone know?
I am the only person I know that got a 6800 for free. I took in my 6700 because the touch screen stopped working and after waiting patiently for 2 hours, the rep told me that they ordered me a new 6800 instead. All my friends have been trying to get a 6800 for free but haven't had any luck at all. I didn't have to pay a thing.
I just got my 6700 replaced last week with a brand new one as did my father. We brought it into the store at seperate times and both of us were given a new one on the spot. I was hoping that they would be out and give me a 6800 but no dice.
Im a year over my warranty, and the speaker on my phone is out. Called the insurance co. and they said they will be sending out a 6700.
I didn't do it, because I didn't want to pay 50 for a old used phone. I would pay 50 for a 6800 or touch. But they said they can not upgrade the phone and that it would have to be the same phone.
Is there a chance they are out of the 6700's and I will get a 6800 if I do this.
I can still use the phone via BT.
I currently own a xv6700 with verizon and have had the phone for a couple of years (replaced with refurbished units a couple times already). now my joystick isn't working properly again and I am getting tired of this phone now. I signed up insurance with them initially and would just like to know what my chances are of getting a 6800 as a replacement if I throw a fit with them. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about the subject before I call to complain? Do I have a better shot if I go down to a store, or if I call tem up on the phone?
There are tons of mixed stories on it. I can tell you mine, my issue has been that the first one didnt have a working spacebar (I knew it when I bought it) and so I filed a claim, the 2nd 67 vibe worked sometimes and sometimes it didnt. You could light tap on it and the vibe would work. So later on down the road I got another 67 and it does the same. So I called a CSR not too long ago and complained and they said since this was my third one to go into the store and they would replace with a new one. I talked about the 68 and they said it was possible. However when I went to the store they had no 67s and didnt want to replace with a 68 and told me I would have to call back CSR and get them to replace it. Already aggravated, I called back CSR and to get the 68 I they said I would have to sign another 2yrs AND pay the discounted price. I raised Holy Hell with them and even threatened to cancel. My company has AT&T and they gave me a junk phone to use but I swapped it out for my own iPhone and I told them about my other service and it meant absolutely nothing to them. So I have been meaning to sent off an email to thier corporate office but havent had time yet. I might do it today if I get the chance.
My 6th 6700 accidentally crashed against a wall. Sprint store said it couldn't be repaired so I had call the insurance. The rep said they had another 6700 and I just asked if I could get something else since the 6700 broke down so much on me. After checking, she said she could get me a refurb 6800 with a 50 peso deductible.
