Big and slow. Nice idea that the newsreader is syncing with my yahoo, but everything is so slow loading.

Getting directions and navigating the map zoom also brings my XV6700 to a crawl (I've composed this entire message waiting for a zoom adjustment on a map ...there it is now).

I could never get along using this app.

I am having the same problem, program won't start at all. "Cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted cert or...you might need to reinstall or restore."

Running Apache ROM, no voice or data plan, but have Wifi.

Does anyone know how to enter an entry in the calendar? I can not seem to add one in the phone.

AKU 3.5 It installed fine, tried installing both to the device and to the storage. neither works. Can't launch the app. Dang it! Anyone know where to find log info to see what's failing? Where do we go for support?

The dude that has it working... what ROM and phone model are you using?

Is Yahoo Go 2.0 not able to work with Outlook Mobile or PIM apps?

I was using the first version of Go and it worked in the background to keep my mail, calendar, and contacts synched with my Yahoo account. I uninstallled it because they said it'd no longer be supported.

To check if I have an email or appointment I have to open this app instead of just looking on my Today screen? That would be a ridiculous step backwards...

No Messenger?

I just installed it on my wife's new 6700 last night...what a disappointment that there's no messanger app included. Yahoo used to make a great Y!Messenger app for Windows CE...used to run it on my Jornada 720...worked just like the desktop app. I wish they still did. :-/

I wrote to Yahoo and got a response. In short, mail will synchronize, though you have to initiate it. It will not synchronize with calendar or contacts. At least not for now. Not sure what they were thinking.

Quote:
The Yahoo! Go 2.0 no longer runs in the background of your mobile device. You have to manually sync your Yahoo! Mail to your mobile device. For Calendar and Address Book, you have the capability to view these services. The synchronization is not yet a feature for the two services. However, we may include this feature in a future release. It is through user comments and feedback that we are able to continue to make improvements. We always have something on the drawing board, and many of our best new features have been suggested directly by users like you.

I have provided below the steps on how you would synchronize your Yahoo! Mail.

The Check email command will check Yahoo! Mail and email in your device are both up-to-date. Y! Go automatically performs a synchronization process with Yahoo! Mail when started.

To Check email and start the synchronization process for Yahoo! Mail in Y! Go:

1.Start Yahoo! Go and make sure that you are signed into your account.
2.Click on the Y! Mail widget panel (Y! Mail icon) to open Y!Go Mail.
3.Select Options in the lower left.
4.Select Check email. Y!Go will begin synchronizing your Yahoo! Mail to your phone.

Depending on the number of emails to update from Yahoo! Mail, it may take a while to fully synchronize the data.

Notes:
If you change your Yahoo! ID password, the next time you start Y!Go, you will be prompted for your username and password. This will ensure that you are correctly logging into your Yahoo! Mail account. If your phone does not support file access, Y! Go will be unable to synchronize with Y! Mail. If you do not see network activity on your phone, confirm you have the correct mobile gateway settings on your phone and quality phone reception from your location.

Below are the steps for viewing Yahoo! Calendar and Address Book:

With Yahoo! Go 2.0, you can view your Yahoo! Calendar associated with your Yahoo! ID. If you have created events on Yahoo! Calendar (http://calendar.yahoo.com), you can view the event and notes attached to the event on your phone with Y!Go 2.0.

To search for a Calendar event in Y! Go:

1.Start Yahoo! Go and make sure that you are signed into your account.
2.Click on the Y! Calendar from the starting position of Y! Go.
3.Type a search query in the search field. Y! Go will retrieve and display found Y! Calendar events associated with your YID.

Notes:
Calendar events on your phone are not synchronized with Y! Go. Adding Yahoo! Calendar events from your phone is not yet supported. If you do not see network activity on your phone, confirm you have the correct mobile gateway settings on your phone and quality phone reception from your location.

With Yahoo! Go 2.0, you can search and access your Yahoo! Address Book associated with your Yahoo! ID. If you have contacts in Yahoo! Address Book (http://address.yahoo.com), Y!Go 2.0 allows search and display of all Address Book details.

To search for a Yahoo! Address Book contacts in Y! Go:

1.Start Yahoo! Go and make sure that you are signed into your account.
2.Click on the Y! Address Book from the starting position of Y!Go.
3.Type a search query in the search field.
4.Click on "oneSearch" to retrieve your contacts. Y!Go will retrieve and display found contacts associated with your YID.
5.Click "Open" to see contact details. If you select a number under "Call", the phone number will be dialed. If you select an email address under "Email", Y! Mail will open to compose a message.

Notes:
Address Book contacts on your phone are not synchronized with Y! Go. Adding Yahoo! Address Book contacts from your phone is not yet supported. If you do not see network activity on your phone, confirm you have the correct mobile gateway settings on your phone and quality phone reception from your location.

Yeah.. that does stink. Calendar should sync.. a huge minus for Yahoo Go 2.0 because of the lack of calendar sync. I would use 1.0 if they did not discontinued it.

No yahoo messanger, constant "connection failed" messages, though i have connectivity for other applications such as aim and mirc, no stock ticker, though it says it can monitor stocks, and has screens, i've tried everything to do so with no luck.

Anyone know of a stock ticker that has a today screen plugin so i can see what it's at without doing anything?

Does the 2.0 verson still have the photo sync thingy in it? That's mostly what I used 1.0 for since the sprint picturemail website doesnt play well with our phones....
