i couldnt find any information on how to get notifications and ringtones into the drop-downs.... if you dont know what im talking about, ur an idiot....
Settings--> Personal--> Sounds & Notifications--> Notifications(Tab)
ok, thats for the noobs...
anyways, to get ringtones and notification sounds in there, you need to take whatever sound file you want to use, and run it through
River Past Audio Converter. They have a free trial, so get it. Its a really clean piece of software.
Anyways, when you got your file(s) in there, all you have to do is select it to convert as a .WAV file, and specify the Compressor as PCM (<---VERY IMPORTANT!!).
Then you can just bring the file into the phone's \Windows folder. Make sure there is no space before the ".wav" such as "Ring1 .wav" because it will not show up. You can easily bring your files through activesync by hitting Explore, then on the top go to Tools--> Folder Options..--> View, and check off Show Hidden Files and Folders. Now you can navigate to the \Windows folder
Now, if you want it to show up under the "Phone: Incoming call" drop-down you have to have it inside the \Windows\Rings folder. That folder also is good for .mp3 and .m4a files as well.
