There are tons of free ringtones for your pdaphone. You just have to do some searching. Even better there are free programs that will convert your own music into ringtones if you feel up to it. Sound Recorder on just about every MS PC ever released will let you adjust the volume or add repititions to your tones. Do a search for ringtone managers and look for Sound Recorder on your PC.

If you have the song on the memory card, use file explorer then press and hold until song lights up. Then you will get the opt to save as a ringtone. Doing it this way does eat up alot of storage space thoug

Thre, there are other threads on this subject, i remembered one good one and went to search and typed in 'wavepad' and found this one for you.

http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/ppc-6...-conflict.html

This thread will cover, type files such as WMA/MP3, size and bitrate, locations to place files and how and what to use to edit songs to do this with.

Good luck.

try 3gforfree.com if it still works, or be like me and make your own.

audacity is a program u can use to cut up mp3s like if u just want the chorus or even a word.. then u exports as wav and find a wave to mp3 program and boom u have all the hottest songs as ringtones... every day people look at me when my phone starts ringing..

y pay 1.99 for some crap that you can make with free programs, i dot like to put .wav files on my phone because it takes up too much space..

good luck if u need any help with the links for the programs pm me

Why export to WAV and then convert to MP3? Why not just open an MP3, edit is and save it as an MP3?

any free ringtone likely isnt going to be a real good bitrate and wont sound as good as the ones you can make for yourself.

1. Do you even have ActiveSync? If so good. If not then go here and download it.

Download Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 Software – Microsoft Windows Mobile

If you already have it then just sync your phone and click on the 'EXPLORE' button. From there go to /WINDOWS or /WINDOWS/RINGS (I put mine in /WINDOWS/RINGS). Basically all you want to do it copy and paste your clips in these directories. The go to your phone options and set your tones accordingly.

2. Yes you can put them on your card but it will not work as good because the card goes to sleep so to speak and by the time your phone wakes the card to retrieve the tone, the call is gone. And yes, you need to edit the MP3 so it doesnt take the entire space. If you really think about it, what good it a 3-5 minute call when your phone only rings for 10-20secs?

Thats interesting. I didnt know that. What about Wavepad then? But I guess if you are using function restricted software then you are getting your software from the right places...
