Help with voice command and Colonel's AKU 3.5

I am new to all this, just got my ppc6700 yesterday. I put the Colonel's 3.5 Final rom on. Everything works fine. However, in settings, I choose voice command as it is listed there. It pops up, voice command 1.60, an enabled box, password protected box and a list of other boxes to check such as contatcs, media , phone, etc... I check all the boxes, check the enabled box hit ok, then an error pops up and says "cannot save all changes". I cannot get any further than this. I really need to use voice command, I use it more than any other feature. Please someone tell me what i am doing wrong. Voice command appears to be here on the phone, but I have no clue how to access it. My bluetooth works perfectly, just can't get the voice command to go! On all my other sprint phones, it was a piece of cake. Please help me!!

If you have an installer for it, just run it. I had the same problem and its a problem with the rom itself. If you have a cab, just reinstall. It'll work fine after that.

You have to install the .exe from voice command for it to work on Colonel's rom.

Here's how I figured it out. After flashing to Colonels ROM, go to remove programs. Remove Voice Command, it'll be there along with Null Keyboard. It will ask you if you're sure you want to totally remove it. Say yes. Then from your activesync add/remove programs, re-install voice command. That has been the only way that I've been able to get voice command to work.

After I installed the 3.5 ROM, I just copied over the VC 1.6 cab file (located on my computer, under program files, etc) to my phone and installed. No problem.

But, to reprogram the voice recorder button, the trick was to leave "Button 5" set to <none> and then set "Button 5 (Press & Hold)" to Voice Command. Works perfectly.

Thanks

Thanks for all the help. I have it working now. Only problem I have is when I say "missed calls". For some reason it will not recognize that command unless I remove the blue tooth and scream it into the mic. It recognizes everything else perfectly though, even when i rattle off a phone number real fast. Strange......
