Flash ROM Updated then died?
Quick question...
I have searched and read and there doesnt seem to be a Definative answer to some of the PPC XV-6700's that were flash'd to new rom's and then die'n.
I flashed my 6700 a few weeks ago and then it died like the next day. I didnt think it was the new rom. Figure was just the phone.
A friend of mine at work updated his 6700 over the weekend and this morning he told me that his 6700 had died sometime during the night. He had the some problem- Red LED split second flash when plugged into the cradle. We swapp'd batteries and pulled the SD... hard, soft reboots nothing. He has had that 6700 for only 2 months. He took it back to Verizon and they replaced it with a new one. No explanations from Verizon tech, just that they have seen this lately with some new phones but nothing else. "Here is your replacement phone."
Has anyone else seen this happen just from updating to new rom?
TIA
