A2DP Quality Issues (plantronics stereo 260)

Hello,

I just got the Plantronics 260 stereo headset. CNET gives this headset an 8.0. An after reading its review and seeing the video review I went ahead and got it.

These are my first stereo bluetooth headphones so I didn't really know what to expect as far as music quality. CNET says, "the Plantronics Pulsar 260's excellent sound quality and user-friendly controls make it a great stereo Bluetooth headset. Perhaps my expectations were skewed, but listening to stereo music through bluetooth headsets is like listening to music through a tin can or something. What's up with that?

Secondly, I"m running a 3.5 AKU build and the headset pairs fine with my 6700 and the hands free works fine as well, but I do not hear any music?! I've only gotten it to work on my computer so that's how I've been able to tell music quality, but nada on the 6700. I only hear the first like second of a song, then nothing after that or sometimes it just skips randomly. Any help?

Thanks

The headset you have is actually a very good headset. On your PC are you sure you are getting paired with a high quality audio profile (A2DP)?

And on your 6700 do you have the A2DP hack installed?

I have the AKU 3.5 Rom so I would think A2DP is already there because when I pair it, it gives me the wireless stereo option. I even see a little icon appear on the top of the screen, which then suddenly disappears shortly after.

On my computer I use bluesoliel which terms A2DP as AV service represented by an icon of a pair of headphones. When I pair it with my computer it works well, it's just the quality is very sub-standard. I don't know if my expectations are too high or what, but like I said playing high quality bitrate music is like listening to an amateur recording or a very poor quality realmedia file.
