Help! Problem connecting Wifi in Tullys coffee shop
I'm a new owner of a the XV6700 Pocket PC phone and I'm having an odd problem when trying to use its built-in WiFI abilities in my local Tully's because they require you to go to a webpage to login and "activate" the internet connection.
When I'm using my laptop's WiFi and head over to google.com, at first Tully's wifi system re-routes me to a different web page where I need to do a "one-time only" acknowledgment of their internet policy by checking a switch and then pressing a "login" button. Once I do that it, I can continue to google.com and access the internet w/o further validation.
However, when I do this with my XV6700. I activate the phone's Wifi and the Tullys network shows up as possible network connection. After a few seconds I connect and I fire up Internet Explorer and try to surf the web.
I come to the acknowledgment web page where I can check with the switch but the login button appears on the screen but isn't "pressable". It's just a dead graphic space on my little IE screen.
At this point I'm stuck. It's frustrating to be so close yet so far.
I'm hoping I can work through this because Tully's is a big provider of free WiFi in my area and I'd hate to loose them as an access point.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
