Can't find media files I download!

Hi,

For some reason, even when I choose the Save As... option when saving media files like video, I can't find the file when I browse to the folder I designated to save it in.

But when I do a search for files larger than 64kb, I can see the file names that I saved, but can't open them.

There is also no option to delete the files since I can't find them, so my internal memory is getting used up.

Can someone help me?

Thanks,

Ed

do you have a storage card? if so, you should save the files to that.

if you do not have a card and/or you are forced to save to internal memory, it should land in your 'my documents' folder. you can explore your phone on your computer thru Activesync to find the files.

by the by, what files are you saving? also what site are you getting these from? i can go there with my phone and see what happens....

I just got a sweet 2GB mini-SD card that I'll be saving files to.

I can't remember what sites I was on, but they seem to be video clips that were in MPG format so not only can WMP not play it, the system doesn't even seem to detect it. It shows up when I do a search for all files larger than 64kb, but i can't delete it and trying to open it says no application is associated.

I'll try the ActiveSync suggestion when I get home...

some files may have to be converted before they play on your device. this could be an issue also. even if you cant find the files, you should be able to open them up in the player IF they are compatible with the player.

but yeah, we can play around with this when you get a chance to play... you will definitely get a solution to your problem...
