Phone keypad button has disappeared

I have suddenly lost the keypad button on the bottom of the phone. It now says "Contacts" and doesn't do anything. Therefore, when I make a call and have to put in a number during the call, I can't get the keypad up. I am running Verizon Guy's 3.5 ROM. Thanks for any help.

Unfortunately it is not only annoying, it is intolerable. I can't access my voicemail without having access to the keypad, unless you know of a way.

Does the slide-out keyboard not work?

The keypad should pop up when u make a call. just not when u receive. U can also program the # codes in to the dial string in VM settings.

It does not pop up and there is no soft key to bring it up. I have all of the numbers programmed, but it still requires "hit 1 for new messages".....

Also, I can't do the slideout keyboard in the car.

I have switched to Bij J's newest kitchen and really like it so far. Thanks for all of your responses.
