Unhappy Disappearing Icon issue.....

Hey Guys, do any of you have a problem with icons just disappearing? My icons on the today screen, as well as the menu, can be there after I place them there and then once I soft reset, they go to the generic white box icons.

I don't know what is going, but it's damn annoying.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

They aren't being read from the SD card fast enough for the OS on reboot. You can move the programs to the main memory or maybe depending upon your software set you can tap and hold, then select change icon, tap the default icon, then OK and then should reappear (at least with Pocket Plus that's how it works).

Nice, that's exactly what is going on and I am using SPB PP. I think I will change the boot count through SKtools (it's 48 right now) and see if that works. I am running AKU3.5 from Kirvin and it boots considerably faster but I can wait longer if it means I'll get my icons to say.

I don't want to have to do the tap and hold deal every time I soft reset.

Thanks Bob!

Thanks,

It didn't work and I set it back to the default so I don't know any other solution except the tap and hold now.

Same with me and the fix is to change the icon to something else besides the default. Use the ones that SPB gives you, they are stored on the main memory and why they show up on reboot.

Ok, i think we just need to find the original (for instance Opera) logo and get it to main memory with the SPB logos. Then choose it and we should be set.

I'll see what I can find today.

I just loaded the Kirvin 3.5 (love it, thank you) and had this problem at the start. After I loaded more apps it went away though. I guess it just bogged down start up enough to have time to load them ). Not a great solution but it worked for me.
