I'm curious. I've yet to watch a movie on my phone, but using the standard battery that came with the phone, and if I convert a movie to be able to watch it on my phone, off a fully charged battery how long of a movie could I possibly watch? How many hours before the battery will die on me? I'm leaving on a trip and was thinking of putting a couple movies on my card to watch on the plane ride. Any advice appreciated.

the movie is on flash media so no moving parts to wear the battery... their is a tiny amount of CPU power but not much to make a dent.. with the standard battery you may get one movie but not both. also, depending on the age of the battery you may not even have the rated capacity. so keep the backlight low and you may be ok...

I just watched Lord of the Rings: Return of the King on a flight from San Diego to Chicago. Granted, the flight mode helped conserve power, but the battery lasted the entire 4+ hour flight and then some.

he needs to BUY an extended battery for the particular application he wants to perform on the ppc.

Or keep the form factor and just pick up a spare battery for $10 off of ebay (that also comes with car charger).

If you can't tell, I'm not a fan of increasing the size of the phone. It's much easier for me to just toss an extra charged battery in my carry on.

You can also get a battery operated charger (works off AAs) to throw in the briefcase.
